Manofsteel is spam following my channel, over and over. He's been banned on my channel and channels I moderate for literally years now for his inappropriate, homophobic, transphobic chat messages. Yet he continues to just make new accounts. Do something about this.

Something needs to be done, or it will reflect badly on Twitch and show that they just care about the large streamers, and not the small streamers who are usually new to streaming. If nothing is done then people will start to leave twitch as they feel that they dont matter to Twitch themselves and that they dont contribute to anything. Something must be done by twitch to help the Mario Community.

I have seen various MoS (ManOfSteel) accounts over the years in some of my favorite streamers channels, usually spamming in with various obscene messages or sexually explicit ASCII style pictures. Something HAS to be done about this! Twitch Support, you claim to be wanting to support streamers and communities but it seems unless you're a big name, you're pushed to the wayside. Come take a look at us please!

This user has been harassing the Mario community for long enough. We deserve a response at the very least so we know what can and can't be done to fix it.

I've been streaming mario stuff for like 5 months and he recently found my stream and started doing his thing. He's going to keep harassing new and existing streamers until Twitch does something about it.

I have seen ManofSteel and the alt accounts around the name, ManofSteel with various of numbers, in several of my mario streamer friends streams. This person has also been in mine saying highly inappropriate things.
This person has been timed out, banned, reported else several times in numerous of mario streamers streams. Why is this not being addressed and handled Twitch?

I just hope the mario community can stop these accounts before they harass other communities, i dont stream but have seen MoS accounts in Mario game streams. We need to stop them before they become too much of a problem. These accounts are bound to start harassing other communities soon and as others said they are a massive problem and should be banned on sight in ANY stream.

MoS has been in my channel for years. I don't know how many accounts I've banned, but I'm fairly certain it's at least 30% of my followers. I'm not sure to handle MoS, since it's likely they're using a VPN, but we as the community demand to acknowledge this situation. It's sad when people in the community had to develop a bot to instant ban a user resembling the game. This of course can and has been flawed. Some users come to me and I can see in their name why they were banned. Please figure out a way to handle this!
I didn't know these petitions could be created, so I thank PMiller for finding and starting this one. MoS is a huge reason why I don't use follow alerts or host with 1 viewer alert.

ManofSteel is a very real problem within the community and twitch's inaction is enabling ****** (and otherwise) harassment on a large, sweeping scale.

Manofsteel is handled differently by every streamer. I ban him on sight. I have seen other streamers impacted by his hurtful words. I have seen world record SMW runs be ruined . I have estimated over 100+ follows from manofsteel accounts.
This needs to be stopped, it is paramount to the stability of this community on twitch. I implore ALL streamers to ban on site, don't let him sit in your chat. Dont interact with him. Think about how this individual impacts other streamers that don't have as thick skin as you do. Twitch! Please do something about this.

I've had multiple run-ins with ManOfSteel, he's came into my stream and posted sexual comments, even threatening violence multiple times.
This shouldn't be that hard to stop. Something as simple as requiring a phone number for verification on sign-up (whilst blocking known burner phone numbers, and yes it's possible, I've ran into sites that block every burner phone app # imaginable, Google is one of them, even dating apps are able to do this)
Blocking 10minutemail domains, and other known burner mail domains. I have successfully created twitch accounts with burner email domains a few times, and it's very possible he's doing that. I've used sites that instantly detect burner email domains during sign-up, some of them are even forums that have very few users, and they are even able to circumvent this.
There are a few different solutions. They would not be that easy to implement by no means, but they are possible, and they need to be implemented. Security is essential to keep users safe.
There could be multiple communities facing the same type of harassment that we do not know about, and this would stop it from happening to other people as well.
Something needs to happen.

IP bans aren't working, streamers had to make their own bot to auto-detect and ban new variations of his name, been going on for literal years... It's time for Twitch to find this guy IRL and take some kind of appropriate action.

ManOfSteel isn't just run-of-the-mill annoying. He sexually harasses streamers with gross copypastas and sometimes names himself after the streamers' body parts, even in rooms with dozens of minors in them. If that wasn't enough, has stalked and doxxed some of his targets too.
The only thing that has seemingly ever stopped ManOfSteel from doing this hundreds of times to the same person all day long is boredom, and sometimes he does that anyway.
Surely there has to be some legal action to be taken at this point if you can figure out who he is.
At least acknowledging this instead of leaving us to code our own solutions would be a start.

It's trivial to get around IP bans (VPN, etc) and you only need to have one email account even if signup email addresses need to be unique (most providers allow <youremail>+<whatever>@whatever.com (eg: myname+t1@gmail.com, myname+t2@gmail.com, etc. all go to the same email account but are unique). MAC spoofing is a thing as well. I don't know what the answer is here, but some acknowledgement would be good as a start.

I am a small streamer and as soon as I got a decent sized raid this guy showed up and I literally had to start giving people mod privileges on the spot. He needs an ip ban and a maybe even legal investigation of his harassment. Because I don't think an ip ban will stop him.

As a frequent viewer of big streams or as an streamer by itself, we all here had seen a massive number of "MoS" multi-accounts harassing whatsoever account they find no matter if they are verified partner, affiliated or standard accounts. We strongly need help to solve this.

As someone who has not only been vocal on Twitter (@twitchsupport I see you) and be mods for SEVERAL big-name streamers within the Mario community who get this harassment daily , I had to go out of my way on an off day to ban 1K (yes 1K) MoS names in a single day and had to write several LONG emails to a department that doesn't deal with these types of issues hoping to have them maybe talk to someone who does care about the platform.
I know you see this Twtich staff. Please do SOMETHING. Having the option to have mutiple accounts on the same email doesnt help at all especially with a VPN which he has abusing.

Been watching Kaizo and Mario Maker for years now and this dude has been a problem almost the whole time. How hard is a hardware ban? MAC addresses are unique and easy to read from connections. At least make him work for his trolls
