How are you ignoring this, twitch? This person is now making irl threats on the community feedback page about him… and you’re still silent?

@manofsteel4153 "Imagine being Arisendead" Let me put myself in your shoes for a second here hypothesizing that your post is legitamite. Your being paid to remove competition in the smw community and you couldn't get rid of me? i've been an OG for so long and out of all of us streamers my MH has always been the lowest throughout the years as i didn't realise twitch was being used as therapy from being shutdown emotionally for so long so uhhhh... you must have failed miserably i was an easy target. I've learned lot's through your harrassment and it's bettered me as a streamer so thank you "seriously i may not have liked how i had to deal with you but you did teach me how to handle these issues for the future". I'm over getting bothered by you my MH break showed me you nor any of my streaming issues were responsible for my MH decline and my daughters mom just died 3 months ago so my reality check came in. I will admit you did annoy the **** out of me and still do.. it's extra buttons i'd rather not click as my mods are usually lurking so yeah minor inconvience. All in all you made me learn to deal with stresses that i would have had issues with later. But if you actually are being paid for harrassing streamers i can tell you after the **** i've been through your 100% wasting your time and won't effect me lol. I suggest if your statement is true that you just quit tbh. Nobody will believe you due to the early Tofu days and the early days in my stream when we let you have a chance in our stream. This is when this all started as well so it's very indicative that your saying Tofu is one of those streamers as this is where your name began afaik. Let's say Tofu paid you to harass us as one of the 3 hypothetically. Tofu has grown so large and the actions of your harassment have made anything you say to be non credible and if it was intentional back then to build hype around your name through tofu's tts and stream alongside the memeing he used you for then it was played to well and unless Tofu admits it no one will believe it. So if you truly got paid for doing this by 3 streamers then outing them won't make any progress in your endeavour as you have discredited yourself. Any and all messages you use as reciepts will just be assumed photoshopped if they even exist. Basically you should just stop, you obv like watching smw kaizo or you wouldn't be around doing this and you always said you enjoyed watching smw in James chat "i used to lurk to analyze your chat behaviours as you were a mod there iirc" and at this point your just my example to hold twitch responsible for their PR. Please just do everyone a favor and go to your normal name and just let MOS die already. It's old and annoying and honestly isn't gonna stop us who have continued to stream from quitting. Just some helpful blunt advice.

@deakula Of course i would never actually do this. I was being sarcastic hoping maybe a twitch staff member who has watched this thread would respond " I know they are watching and don't know what to do it's out of their hands due to Twitch's buisness model and that is exactly what i'm calling out." Logically i know that is not the proper response "i was reminded of my frustration and impulsively responded". My apologies if my impulses seemed to encourage the problem's behaviour. I came back to streaming and wanted to check in on this issue and my old self had dealt with the stress of this for so long that New me decided to just be a sarcastic ******* impulsively. My previous post was not intended to actually be acted on i just didn't communicate it to show sarcasm properly.

Manofsteel started when 3 high profile Mario streamers offered to pay me money to harass the community. Because the annoyance of it kills off smaller streamers (their competition) whereas these 3 large audience streamers can easily manage it. 1 of the 3 said last month they’re going to stop paying (ironically the biggest of the 3 who receives the most value for my work), and the other 2 do not want to pay the difference. So they want me to do the same work for less money. This is public notice that I will be naming names at the end of this month if I do not receive my full commission.

Does anyone know we happened to James Scarto? I talked to him a lot last year. He’s a cool dude that was moving to Philly at the time. But seemed like he had some family problems and personal demons. Then he just went radio silent out of the blue. Someone please reach out to me if you know anything? My current twitch name is manofsteel4152. Hoping all is OK with him. I’m just worried. Hopefully someone can check in on him. Thank you.

I think that's an incredibly bad idea. Not only is it bad form to stoop to the same level of the harassment we've been facing, but it would be towards people who aren't at all at fault, whose only relation to this is that that they are the big streamers Twitch does care about (which doesn't make them involved in this harassment at all), and they have such massive chats that that sort of botting not only already happens, but doesn't put even a dent in their day compared to us.This would not work at all, quite frankly, and those large streamers don't deserve to catch flack just because they are highly successful in their career. Some of them may deserve to catch flack for other legit bad things they've done, but not for this, and not like that.

I guess with no help from amazon or twitch in 5 years over this i know the solution? Create twitchMOSproblem Twitch variants and use the same botting techniques towards the creators twitch does help. Only solution i can think of since we have been ignored. I'm not gonna do it or encourage botting/harrassment nor do i have the skill/know how to do it but theoretically wouldnt this work twitch? If it disrupts your monetary gain and causes mass users to speak out about the problem would it help? Are we so small your pr move is ignore and not address? Is all your PR online just BS manipulative shameful business tactics to drain us like a cash crop? Response? @twitch you lurkin it's time to be active now in chat.

At this point, I absolutely can believe it. Twitch has still not done anything meaningful about this issue.
This issue may have been posted in 2020, but I've been around chats dealing with this individual for at least a year prior to that. So it's been what I estimate to be at least almost 4 years that this has been going on with no solution or known action from Twitch to help.
Twitch doesn't care. Twitch has abandoned us. It's not of any monetary value to Twitch to address this issue. Make no mistake, Twitch may be the preferred streaming platform we all use, but they are still a subsidiary of Amazon, Amazon is owned by Jeff Bezos, and Jeff Bezos has way too much money for us to count as people to him; we couldn't possibly matter less to them.
A community that plays Mario games getting endlessly harassed by an individual with the capability to side step all of their current ban methods is of no concern to them, and not even remotely a threat to Amazon's or Twitch's bottom line.
Every streamer that mains a Mario game and all of their viewers could stop using Twitch forever tomorrow, and it would not even put a dent in their pockets.

It's simply astonishing that this idea still exists in an ignored state 1 year and 8 months after its creation; and it's been even more years since the community-wide harassment from ManOfSteel began.
I'd like to point out that this idea has the third-most upvotes out out 96 ideas in the Community Guidelines category, this comment will put it at 42 comments (clearly an idea with this much attention has some merit), and yet in all this time, not a single bit of meaningful action from Twitch. Not even an acknowledgement that this problem not only exists, but has been relentlessly ongoing for a significant and unacceptable amount of time.
What can we do?

FoxChaotica commented
Twitch still hasn't done anything about this, as more and more manofsteel accounts are being made and caught by kryptonitebot, which is doing a **** sight more than twitch is.
and twitch staff, if you're reading this, feel free to prove me wrong and actually do something about manofsteel and the thousands of accounts they keep making.

I understand that there are technical challenges when it comes to mitigating harassment from a single dedicated user, and I understand that being 100% transparent about safety measures can make those measure less effective.
However, a year later, zero apparent changes and zero communication is simply unacceptable. Has this suggestion not met a necessary threshold of votes? Is it in the wrong place? Is there no room in the dev queue? Does Twitch simply not care?
Without any response, I can only assume the latter.

How has this not been acted on? Inaction is effectively action. If you allow this user's many accounts to persist, then you as a company are supporting transphobia and homophobia.

It's my opinion that all of the misguided virtue signaling they have imposed on us have only been to appease a few delicate shareholders or friends of power. In this situation Twitch clearly has no compassion, and may only answer to threats of financial harm. The only way to get their attention is to have sponsorship write directly about their experience with the harassment.

This Person is still on twitch, harassing various streamers with his unconformable messages. I am not accepting that using a 3rd party bot, to keep this problem at bay, will be the ultimate solution.
Please! We are waiting for YEARS for an actual solution and this still keeps happening, with no improvements to be seen...

Just had this comment show up in a chat I moderate:
"11:41manofsteel3689: Hi. Love that red and black chair. And the smell of your toots! Teehee!!!"
This comment was unwarranted, and made people feel uncomfortable. It's amazing this person is still able to create accounts on Twitch.

My previous comment was deleted and I'm not sure why. So I guess I will post again. I know who this individual is. But I have no idea what can be done with the information. There must be some way to take legal action against them for the incessant harassment and online bullying. If anyone has any ideas how to proceed with such legal action, please get a hold of me through Twitter or Discord.

Such a problem. I've only been on Twitch a few months and had to ban at least 1 version of MoS every night until I was told about the WarpWorld bot. Twitch really needs to address this.
