1. Prevent bot attacks

   Channel-following bot attacks seem to be back again. It is quite upsetting when content creators are streaming wether talking with the chat or just playing while they tell viewers how they feel when all of a sudden a bunch of notifications with pretty weird names pop up.

   Streamers and viewers know that it is quite difficult to control these attacks considering that they are done every day, at any time. Despite the fact that there are some tools that in one way or another allow us to remove these bots, many of us believe that it would be better to find a way to prevent them.

   Having said that and considering that in many chats we have to verify the account to be able to send messages... Why not do the same to be able to follow a channel? It would only be necessary to do it once as it happens when we want to talk on the chat rather than reporting these bot attacks time after time.

   I don't know if it would be too complicated to add this measure, which I'm sure many streamers and viewers will appreciate. We would be very grateful.

2. Chat Spam Bot Offers

   Spam Bots continue to raid the platform. My friends and I are getting spam bots that go to websites such as Dogehype. Although their services are cheap, it is still untrusted, and I want to suggest that any form of "dot com" should be a red flag.

3. Revert Raid Rate Limit to 3 per 30 mins

   Recently (coinciding with the Helix Raids API being released in open beta), the rate limit on "Raid Now" has been increased to 10 per 10 minutes.

   Previously this was set to 3 per 30 minutes (and was even abused by hate raiders who found a bypass for this rate limit; now, such a bypass isn't even necessary as a malicious user can do 60 raids per hour instead of just 6).

   There is no normal use case I can think of that justifies this high of a rate limit, and it is ripe for abuse: trolls can create accounts with inappropriate names and expand their reach with the new rate limit by targeting more channels at once (or bot accounts that mass-raid channels can target more streamers now).

   The "raidGo" rate limit should be decreased back to 3 per 30 minutes (while you can keep "createRaid"/"cancelRaid" at 10 per 10mins)

4. Problem: Plattformen vergeben Verifizierungsabzeichen an automatisierte Bot-Konten, die keine echten Personen sind und somit keine Mobilfunk

   Problem: Platforms give verification badges to automated bot accounts that are not real people and thus cannot sign mobile contracts. This leads to confusion and misleading of users and questions the authenticity of actually verified accounts.

   Proposed solution: Platforms should have clear and transparent policies for awarding verification badges and ensure that only real people with a mobile contract are verified. Clear distinctions should be made between real people and automated bot accounts, e.g. by using different symbols or colours for verification badges.

   Platforms should also ensure that automated bot accounts cannot be confused with verified accounts. One possibility would be to use unique names or identifiers for bot accounts that differ from real user names.

   Another important point is to educate users about the differences between real people and automated bot accounts and about the verification criteria. Platforms should inform users about how verification badges are awarded and what requirements must be met in order to be verified.

   Finally, platforms should ensure that the awarding of verification badges is regularly reviewed to ensure that they are only awarded to genuine individuals with a mobile contract. If automated bot accounts are verified despite all measures, platforms should act quickly and revoke the verification.

   in conclusion, it remains completely unclear for the user and for streamers whether a verified account is a real person, because it is already clear that bot accounts can also receive a certified badge via a mobile phone number. Thus, the entire concept is completely misguided and loses the basic principle of trust.

5. Stop the bot issue on twitch for good

   Hire proffessional coders to fix the botting issue. There should be a bot in everyones chat that can detect a hate raid or bot attack and stop it. Streamers shouldnt have to rely on sery_bot and commanderroot to feel safe especially when, alot of the time, unfortunaley those are not enough. Twitch itself needs to step up and do something about the serious bot problem on their website, not send their users automated messages when they try to report the problem.

6. Twitch chat bot account abuser

   There are people creating twitch chat bot account then using script or something to prevent message drop which makes their message appear the last at every message throttle even when they are not vip/mod/broadcaster. This is like a passive aggressive way of spamming messages.
   As a streamer I can't point out because I have no proof but this totally ruined my chat integrity, made the chat seems like there are always same few users wanting attention.

8. Help! I was raided by follow-bots, ugh!

   My Channel was just raided by a mass of bots that followed, Ugh! Please Require any prospective Bot owners/operators to list ALL info they gather and collect, where is being stored by a Reputable Company, and Limit the functionality of the bots in general. Require a extensive detailed description of of the Purpose of any bots, what API's they use, and a TIME limit that the bot can be on Twitch one month, 2,etc. Not acceptable would be for example..."This is a College project" sort of response. Require the bot owners to have a video live chat with a Twitch representative so they are more invested in the bots actions/behavior. Failing that, the 'Distil' Network anti-Bot service, can be hired to fight the bots, and it has had some hard fights in real time with the worlds best botters remotely piloting the bots. https://www.drupal.org/distil-networks Distil can guard the site from bots getting in and possibly help with Twitch's own built in security.    (which btw the way you have it set up is highly illegal, you have to by law accept google voice/ prepaid because both require a real identity BE attached, BUT HAVE STRICTER PRIVACY LAWS ATTACHED to who can see it)

   ( and since i want my autism to emote communication form)

   the safety features you have are not effective at all. i still get fake chatbot scanners( they transmit data to spam bots if you get low replys to their three basic questions, then I get a lot of buy followers spam still. so there is no way to keep the spam and trolls out and still grow my channel

   2nd while looking for a chatbot that installs answer a captcha
   ( or other forms of proving realism that spam bots can't actually do yet),
   ( select a free sound alert to play to prove you are real or select the better ttv to emote etc from a user's better tv channel)

   you should really look into a chat safety feature like that>>>

    This Is A Russian Bot, Link In Stream Description send you to a website and automatically downloads Virus onto your Computer. Pleas Look in to that as this is a knowen issue and im reporting these bots for days now. Dont give them a plattform to spread theyer cyberweapons!! Thank You !!!

11. follower bot

    My suggestion: add a follower bot etc to our channel. have a quick action button in the publisher panel where, when fired, publishers can submit reports with a single click. Press this button from quick actions when the broadcaster is exposed to fake follower bots. With a single click, the twitch team will be notified. Twitch should delete those bots as soon as possible. No one should have any trouble with this. Because most people don't know what to do about it! I think it would be a very practical and beautiful solution.

12. Spam Bot Ads and Spam Follow Bot

    Usual Spam Bots, the last in time "Bigfollow"

    Use anti-bot system with algorythms to detect these kind of bot, who the the same sentence with variations, characters variations, space variations, etc...

    Twitch detection should learn and create auto-detection for them :
    a user enter a channel, post one message and leave, enter another channel, post the same message (or same message with variation) and leave..

    the last spam bot is easy to detect, because they use the same keyword in their sentence variations : Bigfollow

    Twitch please use an auto-detection, and ban them.
    And allow users to the new words to that "keyword list used in sentence by spam bot"

    The same for the FOLLOW-BOT, they just enter a channel, follow, unfollow immediatly, just to activate the trigger and display their "ads username", and they continue, enter a new channel, follow, unfollow...

16. Universal Twitch Bot toggle on/off against bot attack

    Hi, I've recently witness a channel being targeted 10 times in October by follow bots and already got 2K followers in 1 stream in November. That channel is using Serybot to counter and bans accounts instantly but some accounts still find a way to act as real followers. Also they started fake raiding 1 viewer for at least a minute. Wouldn't it be easier if Twitch had a universal bot on every channel that can track what Serybot is doing but with much more efficiency ? or at least a toggle on/off when an attack like that is happening. I understand you already have an help page for us but I think it's time to stop being so passive about that problem. I have seen it since 2015 but right now it seems everyone is getting attack one day or another. Well that was it. Hopefully we'll see some changes in 2023 against that. Thank you, have a good day.

18. Patch security holes that allowed for a streamer to be hate raided and follow botted.

    Note: this idea includes links to where security vulnerabilities were found because having that knowledge is better for tackling the issue heads on.

    I am a mod for AshuriiYuki who got hit with a hate raid and bot follow spam pretty early in her stream on April 19th, 2022. Between AshuriiYuki and her mods, we were able to handle the raid without much incident, though AshuriiYuki is upset over the incident.

    As a postmortem: the raid was most likely initiated by nottoggl3d who joined stream and said "wow you're bad". Screen shot of their message included. Immediately thereafter there were about 100 accounts who joined stream and followed, making chat effectively useless for a period of time.

    I looked at a handful of the accounts, and they all seem to have "ZiroGen v4.5 :D" in their about information, alongside lorem ipsum text. This is how we found the linked GitHub here: https://github.com/ZiroLake/ZiroGen-twitch-source-code.

    I hope that the inclusion of this was the mistake of a novice thinking they are untouchable rather than v4.5 being pointed out as it is going to be retired for the next iteration of their attack. I also want to make note of lines 273 through 305 and lines 321 through 348. These sections reference Arkose Labs as part of the attack to create bot accounts. It might be good to reach out to them to make sure they know of this as they might be able secure their processes against this attack as well. Line 567 does seem to indicate that this is v4.5 of this script.

    I also want to point out that the GitHub account that made this repository looks to be a throwaway account as it was created April 18, 2022.

    I hope that this information can be useful in updating bot monitoring so other streamers are not hit with similar attacks, as not all streamers will be able to shake off this sort of behavior like AshuriiYuki was able to.

    I reported this same information through the bugcrowd reporting tool (found here: https://bugcrowd.com/submissions/f91065f000084cac7efa38be7dc589b5cf717580cb254fbe35190b98d8fd6a01), and this was classified as a "security issue affecting an individual account" by chiekenJoe, and they told me to report it here, so hopefully someone here will take this more seriously.

20. Scams

    Imagine a world where twitch publicly acknowledged they have a bot problem. So far for the last 2 weeks I have been following this one account thats been changing their name every day while streaming fake video to fake viewers. They are allowed to stream uninterrupted for upwards of 24 hours before changing the name and doing it again. It has been clear to pretty much every person who stumbles accross this account that its fake and using botting to further push the scam. They provide a url code with promise of $50 sign up for free and a chance to win $50,000. It of course is a lie and twitch won't do anything about it. I've also seen other Elon Musk crypto scams go live a lot over the last 2 weeks and of course those are taken care of. So my question is why do you not care for the safety of your customers and communities? Its clear these things are taking place and yet you refuse to take action much less actually acknowledge that this is a problem and warn viewers. I've provided so much evidence and yet have been denied any sort of explanation or response to justify your stance. All i have received is bot responses and silence. You don't even have a proper contact protal because unfortunately 2000 characters is not nearly enough to provide proper evidence. So please either address this problem to the public or at least take action against this illegal and morally egregious actions taken by botting scammers. These are the names they have used over the last 2 weeks, StaceyXorris, StaceyLorris, StaceyAorris, LucyAilson, LucyPilson, LucyQilson, MaryIown, MaryGown, MaryOown, MaryPown, MarySown, MaryRown, MaryTown MaryZown, MaryEown and probably more. So please twitch do something about this, because your community is suffering and it'll only be a matter of time before this gets out to the larger public.     Imagine a world where twitch publicly acknowledged they have a bot problem. So far for the last 2 weeks I have been following this one account thats been changing their name every day while streaming fake video to fake viewers. They are allowed to stream uninterrupted for upwards of 24 hours before changing the name and doing it again.
