Hello! My question is, since Twitch have a Spotify integration/extension, why have it if we are going to get DMCA. We pay for the licence to stream music and pay the artists for their work buy buying a subscription. Why don't you work with labels and spotify to have it so if you like your spotify to twitch, any music played via the app is free from demonetisation and copyright free if we are showing that we have paid for said music to be streamed? Twitch soundtrack doesn't always work because sometimes streams need music on them in certain scenarios and people interact with this for highlights.
One of the most enjoyable parts of a stream is the music we listen to while watching the stream. While watching Twitch streams, I was able to meet many singers and musicians, small and big, who became my favorite singers, and I listen to them every day on streaming services. But now, because of the DMCA law, I can no longer enjoy watching the streams as before, and the singers themselves can no longer take the opportunity to become famous. Twitch is officially a free ad for them. I have an idea about this that will make me happy if you read it. If you do not like it, please find a solution to the problem and make Twitch enjoyable as before.
You need to design a system that, the streamer can connect his Spotify account or any other streaming service to his twitch account. Now how can the copyright issue be prevented? The streamer must add a plugin to his stream screen that shows the artist's name and music in the screen. The number of viewers to that stream must be added to the listeners of that music on Spotify at the time of playing that music. Other plugins can be added to the Twitch app, such as the option to like that music, add it to the playlist, and so on. In this way, both the music streaming service and Twitch can benefit, and advertising revenue can be split between the two companies. You can add somthing that the viewer need to connect his account too and just if he has a spotify account , he can listen to that music . but if he has not , twitch should mute the music and just play the streamer's sound for the viewer
Isnt it Possible for Twitch to let Users link their Spotify or Amazon Prime Account to twitch and filter music for everyone who hasnt linked those accounts, so ppl hear the music streamers use on their streams when they have the licences to hear them from spotify or amazon prime ? wouldnt this makes sense since u have prime subs allready to get more ppl to use amazon prime ?
