  1. The remake of work, Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer (IGDB ID: 78341, NDS Shiren) appears on Twitch, but the original, Fushigi no Dungeon 2: Furai no Shiren (IGDB ID: 103496, original Shiren), is registered with IGDB but does not appear on Twitch. NDS Shiren is not just a port, it's a completely new remake, and there's no way original Shiren can be broadcast under the NDS Shiren category.
Twitch shows other remakes, but why doesn't it show Shiren? The reason may be that it's considered an alternative to other games, as shown on the following page.

  3. Hi,
when I check my own channel on Twitch, I like to see the colouredful section name something like "Recently broadcast categories" (in Italian "Categorie trasmesse di recente), with all Game Covers from recently streamed games/categories.

Anyway, seeing I bring lot of indie (expecially less less known ones) I often find they have no Game Cover at all related to their category. And they show and ugly grey empty cover box.

But most of them actually can show a Game Cover on IGDB... or if they don't, well I often upload a cover by myself, if I can.

    The fact…

    Hey!
Thanks for reaching out. This has been an ongoing request, and an obvious fit for IGDB and Twitch.

A separate team within Twitch has this planned. We (IGDB) do have covers as a high data priority and are indeed ready to power Twitch with those covers :)

Stay tuned for future Twitch announcements :)

  4. Adding filter options to lists would be great. For example, if I want to filter a list to check only a specific genre, series or franchise, for example.

  5. As it stands, there is a lot of confusion and mixed up data between Collections and Franchises, all relating to the series in which a game belongs. Some games will be within a collection without a franchise, while other series titles such as "Legend of Zelda" has 2 different database ID's for its collection and its franchise.

Because of these differences, it's hard to utilise the series distinction in searches, as it might be in one category or the other, or both. If both are merged, there would be a more consistent way of determining a "series", with many games…

  6. I feel like there should be a general category for certain series. Such as Zelda, Mario, Megaman, RE, Digimon all under one catergory instead of individual games(unless they are a new). IGDB already implements this under what they call "Collections."

What do you think? People who play older titles but are a part of said series' community would be more in their line of audience. It's better than having them spread out in random places like Retro or Just Chatting. So instead of having massive communities around certain games, whether they are thriving or dying, you can have a continuous…

  7. When sorting an API request on e.g. totalratingcount descending, I'd expect the highest numbers to be at the start, and games with no ratings to be at the bottom. This is currently not the case, where games with no ratings (null) are at the start. This essentially makes the sorting function broken. Please treat null as zero in the API so that these games appear at the bottom of the response as expected.

  8. I find filtering options missing in the results of the Karma Hunters sections.

For example to be able to filter in the section "Missing Covers" by platform, or in the section "Under 25% Information" by "Empty developer", "Empty Publisher", etc ..

Having these filtering options would make easy, and also would encourage users, to fill in missing information

  9. I was thinking about how to increase the amount of user reviews and interactivity between members and think this may be the best solution. Right now there is a section for recently reviewed games, but that doesn't seem to be showing user reviews? (Clicking on most items returns nothing, may be recently rated?) This would give more incentive to leave reviews which would appear on the front page for a short amount of time. Could be as simple as Game Cover art, reviewer name and rating, with a link to the game page, a more advanced method would be to…

  10. Another release region request. Generally these will almost always be included in a general North American [NA] release, but there are rare exceptions.

    God of War Saga
(known as God of War Omega Collection in Latin America, released November 20, 2012 and released as a 3 disc bundle instead of 2)

After confirming a duplicate listing for deletion, it would be helpful to users that have saved those titles by Following, Saving to Lists or to Played listings to forward those links to the correct page, rather than the "Oops" broken link.

    Heyhey,

So shedding some more light onto this.
While we are going to be working on a proper way to remove ‘bad pages, and duplicates’, this project is likely going to come in several phases.

The initial phase is removing the pages form the site, and stop syncing them with the API.
The later phase would be us building tools to automatically swap the game IDs on lists, reviews, etc.. which would take care of this.

    Thanks!

  13. Currently, only actual Bundle pages appear to display titles included. It would be helpful if those individual titles also displayed the collections and bundles they are included in.

  14. I'd like for twitch to make a category for Genma Onimusha. Onimusha Warlords got re-release in 2002 known as Genma Onimusha. I saw almost all Onimusha games but this.

This game is exclusive to Xbox and can be played in Xbox360 as backward compatible.

There is been a lot of misunderstanding on this game when I reached out IGDB to amend changes. I was told to reach out here via UserVoice, If I want this game to have its own category in twitch.

Although, I also want to stress and clarify that this game is not a port but a…

  16. It would be very nice to have the images of the platform work in the API. I don't mean the logos, I mean the wide image that displays the console in its entirety. Maybe add it as Platform Images or something like that.

Hey! Thanks for the suggestion, there’s some good opportunity there indeed.

We have plans (and needs) to redo how we handle companies, but we also need to rethink how Follows are handled. Right now even follows on game page are underused in terms of potential.

Definitely to be put in consideration when we revisit Companies. Thanks!

  18. I was trying to add credits for a game I developed myself, but we have no youtube video showing the credits. I think there should be another method of verification for entered credits e.g. websites or some kind of verification of the credibility of the editor.

    Heya!

Our end credits is one of the oldest feature we have on the site and indeed could use some additional improvements.
Unfortunately this isn’t currently planned to revisit it in the short term.

We do however intend to explore ways to differentiate game developers from regular users which could also help such use cases.

    Thanks!

  19. Besides the confusion with genres and themes (and things being really blanket), it would be great if people upvote or downvote genres to video games instead of how it is currently, where users can add whatever genres/tags they want with moderation, which leads to Steam/IGDB tags that don't really help for having users find similar games.

  20. Have more options in the personalise home screen that change the categories that show, and maybe change the locations like widgets.

Bee able to see suggested games (based on ratings), see karma hunter categories (missing credits, missing screenshots), be able to make the coming soon big like the popular games right now etc.

    Hey!

Awesome suggestion thank you. Revisiting the homepage is definitely planned in the future. Right now we do have filters by platforms that will impact the games reviewed and the coming soon/recently released sections.

Being able to showcase more community driven games, such as rated, reviewed or contributed is definitely one good option.

We’ll have announcements when we return to this! thanks
