When attempting to define a Platform for each title, especially with PlayStation anything, it can be alittle taxing to need to type out the full name of the platform for each entry. Unlike older platforms like "Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)" or "Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES)", these platforms do not use their common abbreviations in the title.
Ex. "PlayStation 3" vs. "PlayStation 3 (PS3)"10 votes
We discussed this internally and yes absolutely this is required. We even already have the data for it (Platforms have Alternate Names) so we will look at including those into the platform search for release date contributions.
This is now in our backlog waiting to be prioritised.
Very well spotted and excellent suggestion!

In addition to Steam and mobile platforms, links to the web storefronts of additional platforms would be helpful.8 votes
Few companies maintain the same name forever. Some rename, merge, are bought out, or generally acquired. It would be helpful to manage the progression of various devs and publishers with a timeline progression and/or a tree of ownership.
1) Squaresoft > Square > Square and Enix merge > SquareEnix
2) Namco and Bandai merge > Namco Bandai > Bandai Namco Games
3) Activision and Blizzard Merge > Create holding company called Activision Blizzard that owns the two companies Activision and Blizzard.8 votes
We are looking at redoing our company data taxonomy, part of which is possibly adding several ‘layers’ to companies, such as Divisions for example.
Companies are a bit lacking at the moment as we historically have been focusing on Games, but we gradually intend to start giving them more love :)
The idea is to have a special section called "Editions" which would be different from "Versions". This section would be only dedicated to collector's editions, GOTY and so on. Could be added under the "This game is a version." section on the edit page, as "This game is a special edition."5 votes
Indeed there is a lot of value in such a feature to help differentiating different types of versions and editions.
We’re in early phase of looking into this, it’s absolutely something we need and want to have, but it’s also a bit of a complicated data structure with a lot of exceptions and edge cases, so we want to do it the right way.
We’ll likely run it by you Keepers once we figure out something ;)
Currently, only actual Bundle pages appear to display titles included. It would be helpful if those individual titles also displayed the collections and bundles they are included in.4 votes

After confirming a duplicate listing for deletion, it would be helpful to users that have saved those titles by Following, Saving to Lists or to Played listings to forward those links to the correct page, rather than the "Oops" broken link.3 votes
Instead of using random algorithm for similar games on IGDB pages. Make users enable recommend games based on their review. See MyAnimeList for the implementation. Its something like this :
If you like [Insert game title], then you can try this based on users recommendation and similar theme.3 votes
http://retroachievements.org/ is a platform which provides achievements for retro games running in emulators, Currently there are only achievement categories for Steam, PSN and Xbox.
If we had a RetroAchievements category we could add achievements to thousands of games which may never have achievement's otherwise. It would be very cool for things like GOG Galaxy 2.0 integration plugins2 votes
This goes slightly with the request for alternate cover options for titles, it would be helpful if various regional titles displayed beneath the main page titles, rather than a small subtext at the bottom of the page.
Title: Fatal Frame (NA)
Subtitle: Also known as: 零 (Zero - JP), Project Zero (EU)2 votes
Something that comes up with Collections and Bundles are Age Rating Ranges, where you'll have a packages with multiple games than vary in ratings.
Ex. Jak & Daxter Collection
ESRB: E - T2 votes
Titles contained within Collections and other Bundles can be listed as included by displaying links on the Game Page to each respective title's own page. However there is no current way to list titles unlocked as secrets from earning achievements or other various tasks in game.
Ex. Completing the Xbox release of House of the Dead III unlocks House of the Dead 2.2 votes
A list of mods could be shown as toggable to not mess with the layout of the page, since some games have an extensive mod library (I'm looking at you Super Mario World and Super Mario 64).2 votes
As means of promoting game editing, there could be a game recommendation for the user. It would be based on the game pages the user visited, the games the user rated, etc. A notification could appear on the website with the recommendation, and there could be a place in "Karma hunters" for some more recommendations.
It would certainly help with many more game info missing, as the person would be prompted to help with something they most probably know.1 vote
There are alot of titles that seem to list multiple divisions as publishing arms for each region. While this can make sense for Developers like Ubisoft Montreal or Shanghai that are responsible for the creation of the game, it makes less sense for Publishers that serve as regional PR wings.
Ex. "Sega" vs Sega of Japan, Sega of America, Sega of Europe.1 vote
If a title is listed as an Episode (a game that continues a core story released in stages and/or uses the same game save data), it does not list the other Episodes in the series as Bundles or Expansions do. Currently, you can only link to a single title, and there is no means of stepping to the previous or next Episode.
a) .hack//Infection Part 1, .hack//Mutation Part 2, .hack//Outbreak Part 3, .hack//Quarantine Part 4
b) Virtually all Telltale games.1 vote
Currently, if a title is stated to be an Expansion for another game, the Expansion appears in the original game's page. However, Standalone Expansions do not get the same connection, either in the base game or in their own page, even though the option to link them is in the Edit page of the Standalone Expansion.
Examples: MechWarrior 2 and Mercenaries, Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy, Spider-Man PS4 and Miles Morales1 vote
