Information which company worked on which platform
It would be great if the API returned which company worked on which platform, for example Company A worked on platforms X, Y and Company B on platform Z. This information is visible on the edit page on IGDB, but not via the API (should presumably be included in the "involved companies" endpoint).

That’s actually a solid suggestion. Having platform-specific company data in the API would make things much more useful for developers working on analytics, game databases, or even content filtering. Since the information already exists on the edit page, exposing it through the “involved companies” endpoint seems like a logical improvement and would save a lot of extra manual work.
For example, developers often rely on external structured platforms like https://unlockbetaff.net/ where information is organized clearly for easier access and integration. Applying a similar approach to IGDB’s API would definitely improve usability and efficiency for many use cases.
