1. Fix the "Weekly Rewards" and then extend (or replace?) the event

   Currently, this "event" is very hard to navigate, unclear, and doesn't accurately track progress. I have many streams I've watched for hours one day and then the next (not Sunday, not the reset day) and I have 0 progress towards any weekly rewards. Obviously, things aren't tracking properly.

   But the work around to "correctly" track my progress is to go watch a clip, but I barely have to watch any of the clip for it to count. And then, rather than participating in chat, I'm going around finding clips of all the people I'm watching instead....it just makes it a gimmick more than it does a true engagement tool.

   Nevermind...what about people who aren't streaming 3x a week? Just go find clips 3 days? Sure, it's a tiny bit of engagement, but feels so meaningless.

   I like the unique badges and I like being able to show off "yep, even if I'm lurking 90% of the time, I'm showing up to support you" kind of thing. But it's implementation seems half baked and half executed. As a result, and with most my stream views (and likely for others) not tracking properly, having a concrete end to the "event" is then just a slap in the face if you want the rewards.

   The concept of "look, you've shown up for your streamer over and over again, here's a little badge" is a good idea, but it needs to go back to the drawing board completely.
   
   I would much rather see a "hours watched" or "messages sent" or "streams attended" badges with CLEAR "this is what counts" for the viewers (not just time expectations, but also things like "it doesn't count if your URL is a raid URL" or "you have to be active in chat or spend channel points at least once an hour or once a stream" etc etc)

2. Long time Turbo Members

   I've been a Turbo user for over 10 years and I still have the plain, standard Turbo badge. Why can't I be given a golden badge or something more flashy to show off my long standing Turbo sub??? If the new badge is nice enough it might inspire more people to sign up for the service.

4. Add a Twitch Badge for ControlPlay Users

   ControlPlay is officially integrated into Twitch and has become a very popular interactive feature in many communities.

   I would love to see an official ControlPlay-related badge or recognition system for active users and supporters.

   Possible examples:
   - active ControlPlay participants
   - viewers supporting streams through ControlPlay
   - event participants
   - creators regularly using ControlPlay features

   A badge like this could increase viewer engagement, strengthen communities and make the ControlPlay ecosystem feel even more connected to Twitch.

   Since Twitch already supports many community-based features and integrations, ControlPlay could be a great candidate for future badge support.

And if I prefer to show my gift subs emote or bits emote, I cannot display any other emotes anyway, they are all pretty pointless.

7. Keep all the badges of gifted subs

   When you open a user card profile, you can see the 1, 100, 1000, ... bits badges, but with gifted subs it only shows you the last highest one obtained. I think all the different badges of gifted subs should be displayed, just like with bits. Thank you!

8. Weekly Rewards improvements

   I am in the Weekly Rewards beta and have some feedback on the current UX and wording.

   A. The progress states are difficult to distinguish

   Right now, several different states look identical. I want to be able to see a difference when:

   1. I already earned progress today and need to wait until tomorrow
   2. A new day has started, but I am not yet earning progress
   3. A new day has started and I am currently earning progress
   4. I have just finished earning progress for the day (transitions to state 1)

   At the moment, all we see is a progress bar. This makes it unclear whether:

   • progress is working correctly,
   • I have already claimed today’s progress, or
   • the system is bugged.

   Some clearer status text, timestamps, labels, colours, icons or animations would help significantly.

   I have noticed the Toast that gets displayed when progress is earned while watching a Clip. I don't think I've seen it in any other context.

   ---

   B. The help article wording is ambiguous

   The article says:

   “Tip: Only your first qualifying activity each day counts toward your progress.”

   I believe this is intended to mean that progress can only be earned once per day per channel.

   However, the wording initially made me think that the type of activity was locked in for the day. For example:

   • if I started by watching a VOD,
   • then got interrupted,
   • I could only continue with a VOD,
   • and switching to a livestream or clip would no longer count.

   In its current state this tip is more confusing than helpful (to me).

   ---

   C. The required watch lengths feel inconsistent

   The thresholds currently feel mismatched depending on the intended goal.

   If the goal is simply to confirm a viewer showed up, something like:

   • 5 seconds for a clip
   • 1 minute for a stream
   • 1 minute for a VOD

   would feel more consistent.

   If the goal is meaningful engagement/watch time, then something like:

   • watching a full clip
   • 5 minutes for a stream
   • 5 minutes for a VOD

   would make more sense.

   D. Daily reset timing is unclear

   It is not clear when a new “day” begins for Weekly Rewards, or whether the reset time is localised to the user’s timezone. You do state when the "week" resets but perhaps, combined with changes mentioned in point A, you could state "Come back in 19 hours for more progress" or something similar, especially if it's not aligned with midnight in most places.

9. Allow user to remove streamer accounts from the emote picker

   I'd like to remove the streamer accounts I have no interest in, but received a gifted sub to. Too many irrelevant accounts appear when I try to scroll to the emotes I want to use. Just add a "hide" to the elipses menu.

   The account could then "unhide" if I subsequently subscribe to the channel.

    I want to manage my own list of favourites - as the frequently used updates so slowly it's of no practical use. It currently still shows an emote that I haven't used for a year.

11. Streamers shouldn't be allowed to remove bit emotes, but only replace them.

    Streamers put up bit emotes for their users to unlock, This is a benefit of supporting a streamer. Streamers should not be able to remove their benefits later on, but if they are unhappy with their choice of benefit, they should be able to replace them (only). A resolution has already been put in place for streamers who deactivate their account, so there is no issue if the streamer
    "quits" or leaves the platform.

12. Let chatters toggle the visibility of their Mod/VIP badge by using the existing Chat Identity controls to customize Role Badge per-channel

    Before, Twitch had already replied on this site that they wanted to implement something like this, but since then, over 5 years had passed with radio silence and without any progress, even though this is a small feature. I don't know about you, but myself, I'm not getting any younger...
    After all this time, I hope this can now be taken notice of and implemented quickly.

    This updated suggestion requires minimal effort to implement on Twitch's part: there are already nifty and intuitive Chat Identity controls that allow chatters to customize their various unlockable badges (or entirely turn off their Global Badge) that will appear next to their name in their future chat messages, including per-channel customization. Your Role Badge for the current channel already shows up there, as well. However, at present, customization is not allowed for it, with the exception of allowing Lead Moderators to choose between displaying a Lead Moderator badge or a Moderator badge, which is a good start.

    This feature request is simply to adjust this by adding a single extra button to the Chat Identity controls to allow turning off the display of your Role Badge in that channel (meaning that Lead Moderators will now have a total of 3 choices) in your future messages, like the existing "None" button for turning off your Global Badge.

    This will allow anyone with a Broadcaster, VIP, or Mod badge the freedom to control when they chat with this badge displayed and when they chat without it displayed, according to their present needs. In the first place, these badges tend to end up being given to chatters who chat often, and the possible reasons one would want this basic freedom are numerous and situational (for example, repeated chatting with a visible mod sword icon at all times may appear overly strict, harsh, or even threatening to onlookers and/or to potential new chatters, even worse when multiple mods are chatting concurrently; similarly, a "wall" of VIP badges from multiple VIPs chatting may present the image of a 'closed off' or 'exclusive' community, or otherwise appear unwelcoming or discouraging to potential chatters or to potential new community members altogether; an individual mod may wish to not garner attention as one, and simply keep chatting as a regular regular while doing their duties "quietly", or an individual mod may wish to serve as "a backup mod", etc). These reasons have already been explored in the original Twitch-acknowledged post linked above and in many of its comments.

    As the adjustment enabled by this feature is strictly Badge-specific, it is visual and cosmetic only: chatters with the display of their Role Badge currently turned off will still have the usual capabilities of their respective Role (such as immunity to chat restrictions, full access to moderation abilities), and will still appear normally, as before, in the chat's user list and output of /vips and /mods commands.

    To give the broadcaster more control in regards to this new feature, they could be given a new setting they can optionally toggle for their channel to prevent mods/VIPs from being able to hide their badges in their chat, which will take precedent over the chatter's own setting for that channel, enforcing the broadcaster's preference. For even more control, this setting could be transformed to a granular per-specific-user permission instead (for example, a broadcaster could choose to allow their "backup mod" the ability to turn their badge off, but not to the other mods).

    With so many emotes, I struggle to find certain hype train, global emotes, or channel emotes because they don't always have easy to remember names. Scrolling through all emotes is slow. I would like a way to find appropriate emotes for the moment faster.

    One idea would be to be able to add local text tags so I can easily find an appropriate emote.

    For example, if a channel has Sweat emote but they name the emote :StreamerPrefixS: Typing ":S" won't bring up the emote. If I could add the tags: "sweat", "nervous", "scared" to the emote, I would easily find the emote when typing ":sweat".

19. Team badges for official broadcasts at the different eSport Titles

    I thought about making official eSports broadcasts more intresting with Badges of the Teamlogos that are participating, so the Chatters can show witch Team there are cheering for.
    I know its not a big thing for many people but it could link up Fans of the same Team or over Orgboundry and the Chats of oh "i am fan of that team" wouldnt exist anymore. Fans of Orgless Teams or Solo-Players in Battle-Royale-Style Games could be united under an "orgless, free-agent or smaller team"-fans Badge.
    If this gets implemented the Badges should get Updates once or twice a Year to reflect Joins, Leaves and Promotions of Teams.
    Bonus-idea: Adittional you could add after a S-Tier Turney conclueded a global Badge of "team ... won at ... in ... in the year ..."-badge to obtain, from creators of the game (or team members) they won in for a one week period or sth like that.

    what do we think give it a vote or dont and type a comment if you have things to make the idea even better.

20. The new global twitch badges for certain channels aren't actually global

    They are clearly advertised as global badges, but once you unlock them they're only available for that specific channel. That defeats the whole purpose!
