Twitch basically broken - Several issues due to GraphQL - Buying Bits, notifications, drops, scrolling, channel points etc
There are currently several issues, effectively breaking Twitch for a lot of users - apparently because of overfitting security policies.
It all started around April 1st 2026 and still persists unchanged today, May 13th 2026.
Everything leads back to a common symptom, which is probably also the cause of a lot of other bug reports here on Uservoice:
GraphQL breaks after a certain amount of time, and then it just throws "failed integrity checks" all over the board.
Not just in Firefox but reportedly also in Chrome.
A full write-up can be found in the Reddit thread I linked at the bottom of this post.
Buying Bits and Subs does not work (final PayPal confirmation button does not complete the purchase)
Notifications area doesn't load and only shows an infinite loading circle
The green channel points treasure down in the chat does not give the +50 points or how many that is - it just turns red after clicking it.
I cannot follow any new channels. Pressing the "Follow" button changes it to a heart icon, then after 1 second it changes back
Under Drops & Rewards > Inventory, I cannot redeem any drops that met their watch time requirement
"All Campaigns" panel shows "There are no Drops campaigns currently" - today the panel is even completely empty
Whenever trying any of these actions, the dev console (F12) shows a "[GraphQL] ... failed integrity check" error.
Please fix this!
See this Reddit thread for screenshots, user reports etc.

I am having a similar issue. I disabled all extensions and delete the cookies per Dummbatz_'s recommendation, but now I can't login at all - I get the error message "Your browser is not currently supported.
Please use a recommended browser or learn more here." in Chrome when trying to login. I am on Firefox now but I shouldn't have to switch to Firefox just to be able to use Twitch properly. -

Ruffle's had a PR made that should address the issue (until Twitch gets more ridiculous domains involved in its backend), but it hasn't been pushed onto the extension as a live release yet. The next nightly build should hopefully have it, but that still probably won't reach the extensions places until they actually make a new version number after 0.3.0.

Can confirm that disabling Ruffle does, in fact, stop the Graph QL errors. Will check and report on Ruffle's GitHub to see if they can address the issue or give users the ability to selectively disable Ruffle on sites so as to toggle it off on Twitch's domains instead of browser-wide.

After checking the reddit thread that originated this post, someone by the name of Yizelin suggested that this was an issue with the Ruffle flash emulator extension. I disabled it and sure enough, I can do everything that was mentioned in this post. So if anyone else has this extension, try disabling it. I hope this helps!

It's happening to me at the moment on Waterfox 6.6.14 and no amount of removing the cache or cookies is remedying it.

Still happening on Brave/Chromium. OpenGL issues out the butt, and after clearing everything and using no addons/adblockers, it will work for a day or two, but the issue will return.

Ok, what worked for me was:
- just a hard reload (F12+refresh) wasn't enough, you need to delete all cookies and twitch.tv website dataGo to Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > View permissions and data stored across sites. Search for "Twitch" and click the Trash icon.
Now everything works again.
