Improvements to Catalogue Search - DJ Program
Provide an Advanced Search tool for searching the DJ Catalogue by:
- Label
- Artist
- Track title
- Release year
This will allow DJs to find whether a song is in the catalogue or not quicker; avoid accidental playing of music that isn't in the catalogue because of mis-identifying; and make the experience of DJing on Twitch more enjoyable for
everyone.
Currently the search returns many hits on songs or artists, for example search for "umbrella" and you get everything. If you could search instead for the song, artist, and label you would quickly find that Rihannas song is on the Restricted List.
Searching by label would allow DJs to know which labels are already signed up and that either their whole catalogue is available, or if their catalogue has some restrictions.

... and we should find or discuss a general naming rule (convention) for featurings in artist title, because it can be found in different variations like "feat." or "ft." or "artist1, artist2, artist3 & artist4". This would make it easier to find such songs in the catalogue if you can trust the correct naming that you assume it should be.

I'm a retired radio personality and my shows are similar to listening to your favorite radio station with the added benefit of DJ interaction. Doing a "radio style" show requires me to select songs on the fly based on audience suggestions. Having the ability to sort by "track name" once an artist is searched would allow for quicker locating of the desired song (including if restricted or allowed). The current search parameters is by artist or by song but not by both or by a sort function within the artist search. Relatively generic song titles yield lengthy lists of various artists and doesn't allow for indication of songs that are both restricted and allowed based on what album version is in the list. Please, give us a sort option.

I agree that there has to be some method to do a meaningful search much like you would on Google. I attempted a search using various combinations with various connectors and it still took over 5 minutes of 'Load More' to get to the artist and track. This is not sustainable as a DJ searching a track live during a set.
It would also be very helpful if the returned columns could be sorted at least alphabetically.
Additionally, some of us have very fast Internet, browsers, and computers so the ability to set 'returned rows' in our profile would be helpful as we could increase the rows returned based on our perceived performance of our browser.

I would also like to see Album Title added to the list of fields that are searchable.
