Power-ups should be opt-in only and able to be turned off
The power-ups system that has been added does not take into consideration how it currently might disrupt streams. The inability to opt-out of these removes autonomy from the streamer for the sole effort of selling bits. Things like highlighted messages and giant emotes can easily derail chat, and the inclusion of full screen effects is distracting at best. The effects I feature on my stream are curated by me, implemented by me, and contain content I have fully approved of and configured.
While I understand some people might like this idea, I can't say I see the benefit other than siphoning off more money in bits. Twitch does not need to be tiktokified in its monetization practices.

at the very least, let them be opt out.
the only thing i can do is make them so stupidly high that nobody is going to be able to use it -

It should not be pinned on top and we should be able to turn it on and off. With my current streaming setup, I cannot even see it, so people are wasting their bits .

Agreed. Until I can turn them off, I have made them prohibitively expensive.

Also as an aside, they also shouldn't be permanently pinned at the top of the menu.

This can lead to extremely hateful and abusive behavior if streamers aren't given the ability to control what can and cannot be used and posted on their stream.

I did not consent to have non-removable bit redeems placed on my channel. These new redeems are just asking to be exploited and abused by bad actors on minority and marginalized streamers' channels.
These need to not only be opt-in, but streamers will need to have more control over how they operate if they do.

I think this is a good idea, but it needs to be opt-in, I would rather this to not exist rather than being forced. Channel point rewards used to be opt-in, now these are less flexible and mandatory? Wrong direction
