Alert System - Major Bugs
I've been using the alert system for about a week now on my partnered channel and I've run into a number of serious bugs with it. Many of these stop use of the alerting system entirely or make it cumbersome to use. Trying to go through the ticketing system directed me here. Because of these issues I cannot use the alert system until they are resolved as it breaks the stream entirely.
Skip Alert randomly stops functioning for hours at a time. - There doesn't seem to be a reason for this and it cannot be fixed on the users end. This just happens and you have to wait it out as a streamer. No amount of refreshing or enabling/disabling will resolve this. Once this happens the Chat will instantly turn into goblins and post a million 7's which you can no longer stop.
Sending an alert message with over 400 7's will break alerts until disabled/enabled. - This seems to stem from the Text To Speech system slowing down for longer messages and just hanging forever. Anything over 400 characters will delay or break the alerting system due to this. 7's are particularly bad because TTS attempts to say the entire number instead of each seven individually. This is not an issue for Streamlabs alerts so I'm not sure what's happening here.
Audio and Text To Speech contains audible pops and distortion when volume is set below 100%. - This appears to be scaling audio incorrectly which causes the distortion effect. The lower the volume, the worse the distortion. Each time the audio plays the distortion is different. The distortion is not present in the source audio.
Very long audio files cause text to speech to distort or start in the middle of the sentence. - The audio in long files just cuts off TTS or causes TTS to chime in multiple words into the message. Lots of weird issues around this.
Custom sounds sometimes cut off and make a terrible screech when doing so. - Sounds have a ton of issues but this one seems to happen a lot when TTS is also enabled.
Alerts sometimes go through out of order. - This seems to stem from TTS again. Long TTS messages can cause all kinds of delays and oddness.
URLs are voiced by Text to Speech in alert messages. - URLs should not be passed to the TTS system at all.
Text To Speech is starting after the included audio file instead of at the start of the alert. - The Delay setting should be our scalar for when TTS should start. Instead TTS starts at the end of the audio file and then initiates Delay. This means if you have an audio file with empty sound at the end it delays TTS. It's very awkward to use this way. It also makes Delay a useless feature as-is.
The Preview window goes behind the UI and that UI cannot be moved or hidden making Preview impossible to see. - This makes the Preview window pretty useless overall. My graphics are just hidden behind the UI the entire time. Scaling the window to fit and scaling the assets to show general placement would make this feature much better.

As an addition, the following points:
- Since the Channelpoint update, the size of my video files for all alerts has been reduced.
- The fade-out animation, where the videos used to slide up or down, no longer works.
- Video files are frequently skipped, resulting in only the text being displayed. -

This alerting system would be really fantastic without these issues. As it stands I have to go back to using Streamlabs (I don't want to) because it breaks the stream flow so horribly each time it implodes.
