[Feature] Alerts
We have added in the ability to configure and manage Alerts directly within your Creator Dashboard here on Twitch. You can use them in tandem with the alerts you love and already have set up with your third-party broadcasting software; however, we've expanded our system to offer not just classic alerts like subs, follows and cheering, but also Alerts for hype trains, raids, goals, and charity. On top of this, we've added brand new features like Interactive Resubs, which can be tailored to provide different visual and audio options for users to pick when sharing their resub anniversary message. We've also launched Celebrations which can be added to any alert to trigger a channel page-wide explosion of your emotes to mark any special occasion. For much more information, please check out our detailed blog post here: https://blog.twitch.tv/2023/05/17/celebrate-your-community-your-way-with-twitch-s-new-alerts/.
Our goal is to give you the tools to express yourself. Alerts are a sandbox for you to show off what you and your community are about; and this is only the beginning, so please let us know any feedback you have on how we can improve Twitch's Alerts for you in the future. Thank you!
Hi again all,
We have another update regarding Twitch’s Alerts. Now, you can set up integrations with Streamlabs, Throne, Crowd Control, and StreamElements, to bring select third-party events they provide to your Activity Feed to help you recognize all the additional ways your community supports you (such as through tipping, merch purchases, etc.).
Help highlight your community’s contributions and celebrate them all in one place, with your own flair by tapping into the customization options for your Alerts in the Creator Dashboard.
This is just the beginning! We'd love to hear what other third party streaming tools you'd like deeper Twitch integrations with, please share them with us via link.twitch.tv/UVAlerts or http://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/924712/suggestions/47507177.

These are the implementations I can think of just by creating some Hype Train and Goal alerts over the past couple days. Currently I'm still planning to keep StreamElements for everything else, but if these were added I'd definitely think about moving everything over:
- drag and drop or more custom pixel placement for the text and the alert image
- more font options for the text; or like SE does it where you can choose one and as long as your computer that you're streaming from has the font, it will load as necessary
- text size slider rather than select text sizes
- play until done option for the alert image and alert sound. I'm running into an issue where no matter how long I put the Duration under General Settings, the alert image (in my case, gifs and webms) still animates too long.
- "All Time High Reached" Hype Train alert does not test correctly in the browser source. It keeps pulling my "Level Reached" alert image and sound instead. So I'm not even sure it will work when I reach a new all time high level.
- Y axis positioning of the alert overall seems to change randomly during testing. This happens in the previewer and in the browser source. So I'm not sure if this will happen live as well. -

I suggest making it compatible with console users majority of users are streaming off pc yes, but shouldn't neglect a lot of your streamers that do stream from console.

Really happy that Twitch has an Alert feature. It covers almost everything that most streamers want. I would like to see alerts from channel point redemptions. This could make tons of people move from 3rd party to Twitch itself.
Also, as a Thai streamer, I would like to have TEXT-TO-SPEECH in the Thai language.

Hi, it would be nice if alerts with same trigger condition in the same order priority activated randomly

Could you add Korean male voice?

Would love an option to have videos loop in alerts. And alerts triggered by redeeming channel points.

Seconding the multiple requests for being able to trigger custom alerts, which would be able to fill in gaps that the current system does not cover

It's awesome so far but it really needs to also support PayPal notifications. Most streamers have a paypal "tips" page setup and need alerts for it. Then we wouldn't have to have two different alert sources like we will have to have right now.

Looks nice to don't use Streamlabs anymore, but idk if it's only me but Twitch sounds doesn't seems to have their volume configured. I can modify the volume only on imported sounds

Features I would love to have:
-A way to choose which emotes get displayed on the "celebration" option.
-A way to add slight animations to imported images.
-A way to add slight animations to text (bobbing up and down etc). -

Hello. Alerts for channel points?

I think it's okay so far but there NEEEEEEEDS to be an option to delay when the text shows up, and maybe have separate animation for the text.
Otherwise the animation I made for my alerts doesn't work anymore, since it includes a character popping up first, followed with a chat bubble popping up behind them.
Without the text delay it just looks silly because it's there from the start before the bubble pops up

Hi, I'm trying to upload a webm video to my alert but it says the format doesn't match the file extension. I made the video myself in Premiere and saved it in the correct format and extension.

Please allow Editors to manage these alerts, the streamer can't always take care of this by themselves and an Editor could easily give a hand. We are already able to do this on third party apps, so it would only make sense for Twitch to allow the same.

Currently you have to use the browser source to get the celebrations working outside the video window.
Can we get celebrations while using our own alerts? That would be nice.
And API support would be very nice. I'd love to give users the options to choose between multiple sounds but have them played by a real life ukulele.

Id love to have the alerts as an extension to reduce browser source bloat on my mobile device while streaming IRL. Otherwise, great job!!
