When the stream is interrupted and resumed, the sound disappears
The Disconnect Protection function does not work correctly. When the stream is interrupted and resumed, I lose the sound on the stream. And the sound of VOD is recorded perfectly. I have to interrupt the stream completely and restart it to get the sound back.

This happens to me as well. Everytime I disconnect and reconnect (briefly) the audio is not coming back with the video. Viewers cannot hear me or the game audio after reconnection. Have been having to restart the stream altogether. Any fixes/workarounds for this in Streamlabs OBS?

after reading OBS' github issue, the problem lies in Twitch's disconnect protection feature as stated in https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/issues/5572#issuecomment-1291223082
im having this same issue in the last few days due to my ISP not behaving properly and getting disconnected a few times a day.
after the disconnect and getting reconnected, the stream is muted, but when i see VOD after my stream, the audio is fine.
im configuring track 1 as stream audio track and track 2 as vod track -

To add to this, there's a repeatable bug in Twitch Disconnection Protection losing both audio sources when it comes back for livestreams that have their audio split. It also shows up in VODs by breaking replay. If you play the VOD starting in the middle of the Disconnect Protection just before video comes back and let it play for until it does, the VOD crashes with Error 3000.
If you start VOD a couple seconds after reconnection, the VOD has sound but the livestream didn't have it. Only fix was to restart the stream. I've seen this happen to 2 different streamers and have specific timestamps I can provide.

This happens to me too, I don't lose connection to the internet, the Twtich Servers in Chicago drop me. I'm in discord the whole time, game stays in multiplayer mode, internet is fine. When I come back, my audio is gone and the only solution is to restart the stream which voids the protection.

From what I can see this is an issue with OBS:

This started happening to me as well. Seemingly it has something to do with the Twitch VOD track choices, perhaps some confusion upon reconnect. I believe I used to use Twitch VOD Track 1, but this started happening upon using Track 6.

I'm having this issue as well. From reading through discussions on OBS Studio's github and forums, it seems to be a complication from the VOD and live audio tracks being processed separately. OBS recordings still have audio in them, and the Twitch VOD still has the audio correctly (which indicates to me that the issue isn't on OBS's side), but the live stream has bugged or absent sound.
Workarounds seem to be: Disable the "Twitch VOD track" option in OBS, or disable VODs altogether, which are pretty bad options.

Seeing the exact same issue. Audio is in VOD but not live stream after DC protection. Seems to be an issue with audio splitting somewhere.

Recently, when I've had the NotLikeThis Disconnect stream due to internet issues, my stream comes back, but my viewers do not hear my audio. On the vod the audio is fine, but the disconnect screen for some reason breaks the live audio. This has happened 4 or 5 times, and it defeats the purpose of the disconnect screen, since you'll have to restart the stream to fix it.
