Add Deeper Analytics for Ad Revenue
Right now the analytics page just shows revenue gained from ads. This doesn't paint the entire picture and it's leading streamers to think that bias is occurring in their ad offers. This can be fixed by displaying ad impressions, declined impressions, fill rate, ad pool size for our category, and CPM on the analytics page. Descriptions for each should also be included to explain these mechanics.
We're offered 55% of ad revenue but have no way to determine what that number is or how it is calculated. This leads to distrust in Twitch and the ads system. Giving streamers a clearer picture of the situation will let us decide how to optimize and earn more while repairing damage done by lack of communication. This benefits both Twitch and the streaming community overall.
Having two monetized channels I found that one of them was getting 205% more revenue from ads on a per viewer basis. I had no idea why this was happening and none of my provided analytics helped resolve that. With this in mind I reached out to Mike Minton the Chief Monetization Officer at Twitch to discover what was going on. You can read that entire thread here: https://twitter.com/PirateSoftware/status/1640762988809576449
During that conversation we talked about all of this and I realized how lacking the analytics panel really is for this revenue source. I feel that fixing this will help improve communication regarding ads and dispel a lot of the negative feelings around disparate ad rates between streamers. With Twitch moving towards a more ad centric monetization model this really needs to be implemented.

I agree twitch needs to work on this ASAP, so that people stop crying wolf due to the "Adpocalypse" and not understanding the "Black Magic" happening behind the scenes that they do not understand.
When the conversation is started by someone with actual "hands-on" knowledge of the subject, and explains the deficit in the current implementation, the whole thread takes a healthy turn where the intended target for the comment can read, understand and even engage with the conversation in a way that is productive, Thor is highly profficient in the subject and knowledgeable in the domain of big-data and analytics, so his comment is likely to be spot-on, and due to his personal nature, his comment is always put out in a way that explains and allows the reader to understand what he wants to convey without turning into a conflicting point.

Having more in depth statistics and analytics for streamers will massively assist streamers with optimizing their content to be more ad friendly and contribute to twitch with better content and more advertiser friendly content.
Increasing the transparency between streamers and twitch will allow creators to make a more informed decision when the time comes to become a fulltime streamer. Garnering a more consistent userbase.
As it is also applicable to the time. It would have also prevented the current "adpocalypse". Access to clear and concise analytics would have prevented the misinformation train that is prevalent to this day.

More data is important for streamers to understand their income source, people who use missinformation will use it to harm the platform. We want to trust twitch as users but if our streamers are left adrift they're more likely to leave the platform or even quit overall. We don't want to lose the platform or people we love watching.

Transparency is very important in times like this. Giving more information about how revenue is calculated will help a lot. In the age of misinformation, transparency is key.

Muy buenas.
Acabo de empezar en esto de twich.
No me entero de como pagan los anuncios.
No hay manera de saberlo .unos días pagan más y otros menos.
Y hago siempre las mismas horas. -

I would also request the option to opt-in to banner only ads for specific catagories since its counter-productive and makes people want to click off stream or use youtube instead when a DJ streamer gets full video ads.
They seem to be reading out audio and dropping as we drop into a new song - this makes sense from someone who doesnt deal with music: Make them want to sub to hear the drops - but it has the opposite reaction - if you dont hear the hype mix and it gets cut by "Hello, im bob wanna buy some pepsi?" it makes people want to click off and go to youtube instead of staying and listening to my mix while im live on twitch

I agree with this. Beyond what's written here, Thor has talked more about this on stream, both reiterating and expanding upon these points. Very key.

This would help people figure out what demographic they are dealing with and consequently improve content. Similarly you could better figure out who you're having a hard time with and work with the info
