Viewer Count WRong
Hello, my viewer count always shows 1 maybe 2 viewers, however you can clearly see multiple accounts in chat watching. So not including viewers that don't have accounts, why is my stream showing only 1 viewer?

Hey everyone! Just wanted to pop on here to give some clarification.
Your Viewer Count reflects the total number of people watching your live broadcast, whether or not they have logged into a Twitch account. Your total Users in Chat reflects the number of logged-in Twitch accounts that are connected to your chat. In some instances, an account can be connected to your chat without watching your live broadcast - like chat bots, users in chat-only mode, or users in pop-out chat mode - which would then create a difference in your total number of Users in Chat and your Viewer Count. You can learn more about your Viewer Count and Users in Chat in this help article.
Thank you as always for the feedback!

ok so my viewer average is 2.9, and i get a stream that has 3.9 average viewers on the stream overall on stream performance and some reason my average viewers went down to 2.8 even though i had way over 2 average viewers on the stream i dont know if its a bug or something but its very weird

Can confirm this issue is happening to me as well, I have up to 5 people active in stream and my viewer count still says it is 2

After many hours of streaming I realize that the viewer numbers are ALWAYS wrong. I have asked friends to watch as members, but twitch says they are NOT there. Not even after two hours they were shown. Also in Stream OBS wrong numbers are shown. There are more than in the statistics but they are also wrong. PLEASE get this under control. As a small streamer that has actually reached the next level a long time ago, fails due to a BUG in the participant count.

Same thing has currently been happening to myself. I have 3-5 Dedicated friends who love watching my stream plus another 3-5 who will watch every chance they get. Tonight I did a text server. I had my family Tune in. Even with 4 people watching.. It showed 1-2 and then randomly 7.. then 2 then 5 then 7 then 2 and stayed at 2 for the longest time.. This should hopefully be fixed as I am currently trying to become affiliated and this truly is affecting it majorly. Will update my opinion if anything changes.

Not sure where to obtain help because there is no "report" button on my video after stream. I am trying to reach affiliate and it is not recording my views properly. It has been like this for 2 weeks. Not sure if this is because of OBS or Twitch. I would truly appreciate your support on this.
Thank you! -

The viewer count is always wrong during streams and the like. I'm always getting traffic my way with all kinds of people showing up, some talk and some don't but what I've noticed is that none of them show on the viewer count if they don't speak. Most times it only shows one viewer even when people are watching but not talking. When they do it takes a couple minutes for them to register them as a viewer but only if they say something like every 10-30 minutes. I would have been able to get affiliate a long time ago had it worked in such a way where someone viewing my stream counted as someone viewing my stream. I've been streaming for four years now and I've finally got enough followers to qualify for affiliate and I'm still doing my best to grow that viewer count. Having streamed for so long and have that viewer count not work properly has been really tough. I'd like for it to be fixed but I'm not giving up on my way to affiliate.

It's like this because apparently for the twitch algorithm to pick up a user as a viewer they have to say something every like 10-30m or something like that. if they don't they don't count them for some reason.

while streaming your able to see everyone thats viewing the stream but it does not show all in the count views . I count 13 to 7 views in most streams but count view says there only 1 some times 3 and all thoses names in mod view under users viewing the stream are gaining loyalty points and show up on my streamlabs leaderboard list but never show up as viewer when i am streaming

I have the same Problem and a lot of other small Streamers also. Twitch has to do some fixes here it is a Problem with the Servers in my Opinion. If there are a lot Streamers online the ViewerCount is wrong. For small Streamers it is very disapointing if you know there are 20 People Chatting but only 2 are in the ViewerCount.

Also note, if watchers have their volume off on your stream, it doesn't count.
