Viewer Count WRong
Hello, my viewer count always shows 1 maybe 2 viewers, however you can clearly see multiple accounts in chat watching. So not including viewers that don't have accounts, why is my stream showing only 1 viewer?
Happens to me all the time. I've had occasions where 4 or so people were talking but twitch was only counting 2 people. It is not that hard to program your stuff to accurately count active viewers Twitch. This is unacceptable.
I've categorized some as bots if it's a reoccurring name and if the account seems odd in general, I've also noticed that the same usernames pop up in my friends' viewers lists. Usually commanderroot, lemonjuices12, electricallongboard, discord_for_small_streamers, etc. So it could be that you're counting those bots when the names are actually irrelevant on the list. Other than that, the same thing has happened to me where it said 7 and 11 when I knew for a fact I had 4 maximum, then it dropped to 2, then 1, then to 3 and I just hope this doesn't affect my average for trying to reach affiliate.
It truly is discouraging, especially for small, new streamers that want nothing more than to build their own community. My fiancé’s stream constantly has at least 4-5 people watching, and I know this because it’s always the same 4 of us. However, 90% of the time, it only shows 1 viewer. It makes him not want to stream anymore, and I feel so bad because this is his dream.
So this is how Twitch is, and always will be. I've been monitoring this thread for about a year. Twitch does not care. They would have fixed it by now. They will never fix it. Time to leave Twitch behind. ******** Twitch!!!
Counters still have some issues.. :( Refreshing sometimes does the job.
I also have the following problem that i have 50 followers but the affilate achievement only counts 43. So still no affiliate :(....
Was looking really forward to this and is quite disappointing...
viewer count is showing wrong streaming now with at least 4 viewers and showing 1 fix this i average 3-7 views but cause of this issue my average views are at 2 thanks for messing me over and keeping me from my affiliate
I agree. This is one of those things that delay success here.
Still happening. I had 4 people chatting at once. consistently said 0 or 1
This is still an issue. Me and 2 of my friends are streaming almost regularly together, and we lurk on each other's streams with other friends helping and chiming in. Our viewer counts are always inaccurate as there is clearly more than "1" or "2" people watching/lurking on our streams. Please fix this as we are all on our way to affiliate.
YES this is happening to me as well. I am super close to affiliate i just need the 3 average viewers!!! BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT... Every time i stream i have at least 4 people in there typing and watching and lurking BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT it only says 1 viewer and then after stream I go to analytics and it says 1 viewer that stream. And it is ruining my average so idk when ! will ever hit affiliate!!! IT IS MAKING ME MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am also having this issue
I've seen this happen today to not just myself but another friend of mine who was streaming.
I clearly had a handful of people chatting/lurking in both of my streams today but only registered as 1/2 viewers.
When I was watching my friend stream earlier in the day, you could see clearly 5 different people in chat at the same time but counting as only 1 viewer!
This affected my stats badly going so close to affiliate!
Please fix this!
Have had this happening to me lately as well. I've had multiple people in my stream all night, all chatting, but it shows my viewer count as 1
Same problem. I only show 1-2 viewers most of the time, even though I know i have half a dozen friends watching at any given time. Not very encouraging for new streamers trying to get a community going, seeing their averages drop artificially low.
Então qual é a resposta para podermos resolver este problema?
I have noticed that this is happening to me aswell there’s several people commenting on my live streams yet it’s only showing 1 person watching and it is affecting my stats. How the **** am I going to get affiliate if it’s doing this it’s not fair for any of us it’s happening to
I will have anywhere from 3 - 7 people showing up in my users tab, but it always shows as only 1 viewer. The viewers I have a legitimate people with accounts. Any idea what's causing this?
I am on the path to an affiliate and the viewer count is not correctly showing the people that are actually watching, considering I have a few friends that are watching my stream, but it constantly says I only have one viewer. How am I supposed to meet my goals if it's not giving me the credit I deserve?
