Stream boost
Feature Request: Twitch Stream Boost for Small Creators
I would like to suggest a new feature called “Stream Boost” designed to help small and growing creators gain visibility on Twitch.
One of the biggest challenges for new streamers and streamers that have been on the app for years is discoverability. Many talented creators struggle to be seen because they are competing against established streamers who already have large communities, audiences from other platforms, or celebrity status. As a result, many small creators can spend months or even years streaming consistently without reaching new
Stream Boost feature that allows creators to promote their live streams or VODs directly through Twitch. Similar to promotional tools used on other platforms, streamers could choose to boost their content for a set budget and have it shown to viewers who may be interested in their category, game, or content style.
Potential benefits:
• Gives small creators a legitimate way to increase visibility.
• Helps viewers discover new communities they may never find otherwise.
• Creates a new revenue opportunity for Twitch.
• Encourages creators to stay active and invested in the platform.
• Reduces the temptation for creators to rely on artificial growth methods.
• Supports fairer competition between new and established creators.
To make the feature creator-friendly, Twitch could prioritize boosting streams from Affiliates, newcomers, and creators below certain viewer thresholds, helping ensure that visibility is not limited only to already successful channels.
Discoverability remains one of the most common challenges discussed by small streamers. A Stream Boost feature could help bridge that gap and make Twitch a more welcoming platform for creators who are still building their communities.
