How can we improve Twitch for Creators?

Creators and Stream Features: Feature Requests

Categories

Request for a Separate Category for the Haitian Creole Community

Hello Twitch Team,

I am writing to kindly request the creation of a dedicated streaming category for the Haitian Creole community on Twitch. Haitian Creole is spoken by millions worldwide, and many creators and viewers would greatly benefit from having a clear, accessible space where content in this language can be found and celebrated.

A dedicated Haitian Creole category would:

Provide visibility and recognition for Haitian creators.

Help viewers easily discover streams in their native language.

Foster cultural diversity and inclusivity within the Twitch platform.

As a Haitian creator, I believe this addition would make Twitch more representative of its global audience while encouraging more community engagement.

Thank you for considering this request.

We need our own category, many Haitians want to come to Twitch but because we don't have our own category they are not interested because they don't speak English, we want our own category.

I know you will do the right thing, by giving the Haitian community their own category and subcategory, our community are growing fast, a lot of us don’t speak English, that is slowing down the a lot us to come to Twitch, once we get our own category I know the Haitian community will sign up with Twitch faster than ever.

    This is an awesome idea.
I think Haitian Creole deserves its own space on Twitch; millions speak it worldwide, and our creators need visibility.
This would make it so much easier for us to discover Haitian streamers and connect with our culture.
A Haitian Creole category would highlight diversity on Twitch and help our community grow.

Twitch is becoming global in our community, it’s time to give Haitian Creole a seat at the table.
As a Haitian creator, I know how powerful it would be to have our own category. It’s about representation.
So many of us already stream in Creole, a category would finally bring us together.

This would encourage more Haitian streamers to join Twitch and share their voices.
Haitian Creole content is alive and growing, Twitch just needs to recognize it.

Inclusivity matters. Adding Haitian Creole is a step toward making Twitch more global.
Other languages have categories, Haitian Creole should too.

This isn’t just about language, it’s about recognizing culture and community.
Supporting Haitian Creole on Twitch means supporting diversity, creativity, and connection.
