Expand the Teams feature
Currently the teams feature is hidden away in a dark web covered section of the Twitch Platform. It's a great tool to grow your communities together with like-minded streamers.
Here are some basic ideas that I'd love to see, And will hopefully encourage it to be used more
Allow team creation via the dashboard: Currently it requires a ticket to create/modify a team, Having it be as easy as changing some channel settings would make it more accessible & easy to "Try out".
Allow Affilliates to create teams: If no support agent is needed for team creation, It would be great to allow affiliates to form their own teams. This will massively increase the amount of creators able to interact with the feature.
Allow teams to show up in Search, Recommendations & other places: This will allow users to find teams they might be interested in more easily, giving them an easy way into any member streamers community!
The general idea behind these changes is to make the teams feature more robust to use and then allow more creators access to the feature

For about a year and a half between 2017 and 2018 Twitch had Communities, which could be viewed as team-lite feature, this was eventually phased out, citing difficulty moderating and duplicate communities (especially in the speedrunning community).
I agree that a greater emphasis on teams and improvement on the current in-channel implementation is necessary, or we may see a deprecation of the feature altogether in the future as fewer and fewer people interact. This problem is caused by design, as the teams have gone from a dedicated section below the player, to just the team name in the channel color in the About section. I frequently see chatters who have no idea there is even an About section, let alone that bit of text is clickable.
As for automatic creation, that isn't likely to happen, maybe instead of open to all affiliates it is limited to those who meet the instant upload emote criteria and require some staff approval.

the dumpy emote is from the pg movie open season (not pg 13) i see nothing wrong with this emote and i can see that it is beloved by many a community.
if we could have it back that would be greatly appreciated.
