Now that embedded streams no longer auto-play, bring back Hosting
So first things first:
No one has ever believed your reasoning provided for deprecated hosting. When looked into at all - at least anecdotally, with every person I've ever interacted with who's used the platform (and I have no reason to believe my selection is limiting that reach,) the reasoning has never tracked. If the suspicions we've had are accurate, then now that streams do not auto-play when embedded would eliminate the reason for why hosting was deprecated.
Hosting was a significantly better community-building tool than raids. Tremendously so. It's more user-friendly on the one doing the hosting (not requiring a lead-up to do it, and providing immediate feedback) and significantly less jarring to the watcher, not being forcibly moved from one URL to another and also providing a reasonable trail of where both the community and original streamer went after their broadcast went live. In fact, the original claim that hosts "reduce chances to interact with the streamer" makes way less sense when raids leave absolutely no evidence of where the streamer went after finishing their time live.
Raids have always been the inferior tool and that I'm forced to use it when the original - and much better solution - was introduced so long ago is infuriating. Please listen to your userbase and return hosting.
