Ignore users (such as my chatbot) for better chat readability
I need to filter out certain chatbots so I can see user messages better and not miss them. There is a /block feature but that one still shows the messages since I am the moderator of my own chat obviously. A simple /ignore function would be great that just hides the user from chat regardless of moderation status. This would make it much easier to read busy chats and not miss user messages when there is a flood of bot messages.

The /ignore <user> feature shall be removed. Ignore feature just removes the good old twitch experience (a good part of the good old twitch experience has already been removed). But come on... the fact that a twitch chatter is chatting and sees his/her own messages in chat, but doesn't even know that the streamer or some other chatters don't see his/her messages, IS literally harrassment.

See, the thing about this solution is that it won't really help you. Even if you won't see the garbage, the streamer still will, and most likely miss your message in the junk pile. If the streamer wanted your input, they would've dealt the the spam.. I just disable chat entirely.

Hi Siddharth, you can already do it! Here's some info from our Help section:
What if you’re being harassed in somebody else’s channel where you’re not the moderator, or through whispers? With a click of a button or a single chat command, any user can be ignored, which means that their messages will no longer appear on your screen. You can use this command anywhere on Twitch, meaning that you have the ability to stop somebody from harassing you no matter where you are.
To use this feature in chat, click the ignore button on their user badge that appears when you click their username, or type “/ignore <username>”. To unignore someone, click on the unignore button which replaces the ignore button, or type “/unignore <username>”.
To use this feature in a whisper, click on the cog at the top of the whisper window, and then on “Block <username>”. You’ll be asked to provide one of three reasons for ignoring the user, and the user is immediately ignored after that simple step.
The feature is tied together between chat and whispers, meaning that if you ignore somebody in one of them, they are ignored in both!

These days there are more and more spammers in twitch chat which is irritating when anyone needs to ask the streamer/any other person any questions in chat.
Could you please add a feature to ignore a user in chat. It shouldn't be too difficult to implement as it can just be fixed on the client side by clicking the name of the user and selecting ignore. (A good example is Azubu.tv ).
Ignored users can then be shown in a separate section in chat settings if you want to remove them from the ignore list later.A side benefit of this can be that it makes it easier for Twitch staff to see which user is spamming/etc. by seeing how many times he's been ignored.
This won't take away from anyone's experience but only yours so its not impacting anyone else
