[Test] Partner / Affiliate Anniversary
At Twitch we always want to celebrate streaming milestones. To do that, we're experimenting with a feature that highlights a creator's Partner or Affiliate Anniversary!
To let you know when your anniversary is coming, we'll be sending creators notifications a few days beforehand. To help your audience know it’s your anniversary, we’ll be adding a party hat icon next to your name in the left sidebar to let your followers know about your special day. When viewers enter your channel during your anniversary, they’ll see the same party hat icon next to your name under the video player, as well as a private callout in chat prompting them to celebrate with a party hat emote. To make sure you don’t miss it, these features will be available for 24 hours both before and after your exact anniversary date. You don’t have to do anything to participate – if you're in the experiment group, just go live, and the features will automatically be available!
These features are part of a new experiment we’re running to better understand how we can help creators build visibility for events on their channel. Since it’s an experiment, keep in mind that not all of your viewers will see exactly the same features, and the experience will likely change before we fully launch it to all streamers. If you have any questions or feedback, please do not hesitate to reach out. We'd love to hear them.

Great idea, but I agree with Cypher_003, allowing people to turn it off. I will certainly use it, but I know not everyone will.
Also, I agree with ohthatnatalie, let's make this for birthdays too.
darn, I am looking at the date of this idea and posts. Did it ever happen?

Please allow this setting to be disabled by the broadcaster/moderator. Having chat say "Happy Partner Anniversary" all day the day before and all day the day after gets annoying and takes away from the actual day. Plus depending on chat size, it gets very spam-y. Not to mention its offered in every language, so mod settings need to be adjusted to allow the message thru.

Yeah, uhm, wouldn't it be nice if you'd make this type of stuff, IDK, more "known", instead of random symbols just appearing and confusing streamers as well as viewers? But, what do I know, I'm just a pesky civilian.

I agree with most people here, some streamers only stream once a week and they might miss it because of that.

Making this last a week would be a good idea

I love this idea. But consider making it the week of please? If it is a Thursday and a streamer can't stream again until Sunday, it would really suck to miss this super rad feature. Ya know?

When this was announced, the first question that came to mind was how long the feature would be active for.
Many streamers have schedules, and unfortunately a 48 hour window isn't enough if a streamer doesn't stream on the exact date of their anniversary.
Case in point: A streamer's 1 Year Partner Anniversary is today (Tuesday, Nov. 23) and their celebration streams aren't until Friday (Nov. 26) and Saturday (Nov. 27).
What would work better is if the feature is active for a week (with an option to disable it earlier if a streamer wishes to do so).
The streamer I mentioned above is doing 2 celebration streams because that gives her community more flexibility. Adjusting the feature to be active for the next time a streamer goes live and then disabling it after that 1 stream could work in some cases, but not all.
_
Update [Nov. 25]: As expected, sadly the celebration icon disappeared before the celebration streams took place. :/ -

Is there a way to know our birthday in advance? Many of us streamers want to try this cool new feature but still be able to plan our holidays.

I suggest a longer grace period, and maybe a rain date feature.

As a moderator for a mid-level streamer the amount of spam is incredible. I currently have 2000+ people and while we love to see new people come to the community it's nearly unmanageable. I have people blocking the emote in BTTV. Can you please disable the automated message or find a quick solution?
