Increase the value proposition of Twitch in order to attract more people from the DJ/live act community
We appreciate that Twitch is primarily a gaming platform which delivers strong, repeating revenue streams and justifies the high valuation for the business.
Your infrastructure allows for musicians/DJs/live acts to broadcast and permit multiple acts from all over the world to participate on one channel using one stream key - it's works brilliantly (even on the free version) and suits the purpose of what so many people globally are doing right now. However, copyright issues on replaying the recorded copy that Twitch makes available for 14 days (60 on Prime). This creates headaches and annoyance for many of the users who are not gamers and use your service for music broadcast only. My suggestion is to look closely at the Mixcloud Live Beta concept closely and perhaps produce a break out version of the current product on a subscription paid basis where you negotiate an agreement where artists are being paid similar to Mixcloud Live and you won't have to mute pieces of DJ's sets or cause them headaches. As a commercial director of a successful revenue growth generating company you will discover a whole new revenue stream open up to you.
I have many other ideas on how Twitch can capture significant revenues by carving out a product more focused and targeted for those in music industry and would be open to discussing these with a potential view to working directly with you.
Thanks
