Allow partnered streamers to keep sub points
Sub points should be accumulated & not get expired along with expired subs as it helps streamers to unlock emote slots quicker. And with more emotes available, potential subscribers would be more enticed to sub or continue their subscription.
Looking at "expired" sub points on our partnered dashboard not only demoralized streamers before the start of each stream, we'd get less interested to help promote subscription to our viewers & would encourage direct donation instead.
My current subpoints which unlocked 24 emotes is now at 366/1,000 because 600+ gifted subs expired this month. I don't see how I could get my next 25th emote slot unlocked if Twitch doesn't allow partnered streamers to keep the subpoints earned fairly & paid for from viewers.
Let us keep our hard-earned subpoints so we can grow Twitch together!

Would a middle ground be to change it to accumulation of sub points but to balance the point as to make each emote unlock come at a higher value than today? e.g 25th emote slot at 12000 lifetime subs? If a channel has 100 subs for 10 years I feel that the community deserves a upgrade for a extra emote. No?

I also think that this would not be a good change, the current way sub points work are healthy. It is so you continue to work ******* growing your audience. The way you want them to work it is literally just a time grind and everyone would get max emote slots. The current system rewards those who are constantly growing their audience and not remaining flat lined. Sorry but I don't think this would make Twitch a better place.

Gonna have to disagree with this idea.
The idea of subpoints is to reward streamers for reaching goals. I understand the demoralizing feeling of seeing the next goal so far away, but you're looking at it in a very pessimistic way. You just gained 6/7 new slots in just 1 month through gift subs, that's an amazing goal that you and your community achieved! The fact that you could even make it to that point is astonishing. Instead of just wanting to change the system because you feel demoralized by it, you should instead look to work just as hard to reach your next goal. Be grateful of what you've achieved. Congratulations on the success and keep it up! I think you have what it takes to make it to 1000! -

I'm not too familiar on the sub points but if it work the same as donation then the streamer should keep it. They earned it after all. I could be understanding this wrong. BlakGamer64 approves this message. @_@
