  1. Preserve Pause & Volume/Mute Settings When Hosting

If you have a stream paused or muted and a new channel is hosted, existing pause & mute settings are ignored after the host. If you leave a page up during the day or evening this can cause sound to suddenly start blasting from your speakers without warning. Please don't AutoPlay hosted channels if the open Twitch page has video paused, and please preserve mute settings.

Better yet, add an option in our user settings to auto-pause/mute hosted channels so viewers can manually opt-in to watching a hosted channel.

  2. Opt out of automaticly viewing hosted streamers

There are times when I don't want to load in to a new stream after the one I was watching is over.

Some examples are when I am alt-tabbed and playing a game.

For me personally, while playing a game I will always experience a spike in bandwidth usage while the new hosted stream loads in.
Not all streams will use the same bitrate either, which is a concern, however I've not had issues with that problem so far.

Another example is when I am away from the computer, viewing twitch as it were actual TV.

Then inevitably having my ears blasted off by a hosted streamer with much higher audio settings.

I overall enjoy hosting as a feature, but there are times when it's not appropriate to have.
At least not now while stream-to-stream settings across twitch are not standardized in any way.

  3. Split hosting into "Hosting" and "Sharing"

With the implementation of auto-hosting a lot of streamers are getting spammed by "UserA is now hosting you for 0 viewers". One solution could be to have "Hosting" be when a streamer is actively chooses to host someone, bringing in actual view counts, "Sharing" would be the passive aspect done by the auto-host. Since generally it won't be adding any instant viewers it should be tracked differently. Separating the 2 could allow for different alert tracking and better metrics.

  4. Fix the Hosting Feature, The Viewer Numbers in them are too Minimal.

I noticed that when most big streamers host a channel, they get only like 20% of all the viewers in a host. For example, if someone with 200 viewers hosts another person, that same person will only get like about <50 extra viewers instead of <150. Not only me, but a lot of Twitch streamers and partners have been complaining about this issue. Before, host numbers used to give 90% or less viewers to streamers, but now its starting to get lower to 20%. If you could try to fix the hosting feature for all streamers, that would be very helpful.
