Find a midway for adds, dont forcefeed them to us unexpectedly, worse than TV as it is now, adds are force fed to us. they come up unexpected, and loud. its worse than TV, and i am THIS close to installing an addblocker. ive seen many folks online for years talking about addblocker. i never took one, to support my fav streamers. but you now implemented adds, beyond the streamers choice. the viewing expierence has dropped, and i will not take it much longer. be rude to us, i draw the line and install addblocker so i can enjoy my expierence.

Automatically add a tag for streams with prerolls disabled Having an automatically added tag for any stream with pre-rolls currently disabled (through automatic ads or with the new automatic ads) would help drive discoverability towards those using this feature.
I feel it would also encourage more streamers to use the ads appropriately during low activity moments or when they take a break from the stream, thus also increasing revenue.
By having it as a tag that will be automatically added (and removed) it's easy to filter for streams that have the tag within a category. From conversations with my viewers, they would definitely be more willing to check out…

Delay Ads After Asking A Question When looking for new streamers, it's common to interact with the streamer and ask questions, especially before subscribing. It would be great if ads were delayed after a user asks a question in chat. I was recently watching a streamer with 200-300 viewers while actively engaging with his chat. I asked a question and then as soon as he began responding, was given four ads. Personally, I see value in mitigating this. Let me know if you agree!

Ad Running Alert in Stream Manager As a streamer, it is incredibly frustrating to be in the dark about when ads are being run. Please add a feature to the stream manager that includes a countdown when the ads are running so that streamers can see both when they are being run and how much time left until they are finished. Streamers need to be told about ads.. I have my ads set to run 3.7 times per hour but if the streamer isn’t told a Ad is running the viewers will miss out along with the streamer… you need to put the Following in chat. “Ad has started” only the streamer an see this … or “Ad will start in 10secs and last 2 minutes etc… then “AD ENDED”

Add a button that allows viewers to 'bank' watch time by watching ads themselves As the title says, I'd like the ability to be able to determine when I watch ads myself and bank 'ad-free watch time'. If you feel like the stream is a little on the slow side of things, you can decide to watch an ad instead so you won't miss that one epic moment that you're waiting for. Preferably add the options for '30 seconds' '1 minute' and '3 minutes' of ads.
Would also say this shouldn't exclude you from the streamer's own ad break. If the streamer does an ad break themselves, it'd be nice if those ads counted…

Ad immunity with Ad gamification User controlled ad experience:
-Users run their own ads to build up an "ad immunity" duration for their current account.
-This ad immunity duration will allow the user to view streams without encountering preroll/midroll/other ads for this period.
-Longer the ads watched the longer the ad free duration.
-Can have an upper limit of ad free viewing time, requiring additional ad viewing to top off the duration.

Ad Redesign If you guys are going to completely FORCE ads down our throats, you need to do one of three things:
1) By far the easiest solution - Make Ads Skippable after X seconds.
2) Make ads something that pops up as a Picture in Picture in the corner or something when a stream is running. Remove "Live Shopping" Can't remove "Live Shopping". I will NEVER buy anything advertised to me on twitch. I NEVER want to see my side panel filled up with commercial slop channels. Could you just not. Have to use adblockers just to use the ****ing user interface.

Get rid of them I will never pay you another cent as long as you serve ads like this lol. I used to rotate sub between like maybe 30 streamers from 2014-2019. Now I watch the website maybe 5 times a year. I've been in a streamed special event today for like 3 hours and all it has done is give me negative impressions and further cement how much I just don't want to be here or ever give you money. Create discord-like currency used for ad skipping Create a separate page where people can choose to watch (or participate in) ads voluntarily, which would give some virtual currency, similar to Discord Orbs and Quests.
This currency could then be toggled to be automatically used when an ad would happen mid-stream, instantly skipping it and deducting some amount.
This would decouple ads for streams, removing the annoyance of watchers, which is very detrimental for the ad itself too, as they'd connect a negative emotion to the ad mid-stream, whereas voluntarily watching it could be neutral or even positive if they are interested in the ad.

Option to auto mute ads I would really like a new feature where you can automatically mute ads. All ads.
I am all for helping creators by watching ads and giving them revenue. It would help if we could watch ads without any sound. Ad and content volume normalization doesn't always work, sometimes ads are much louder still.
And if you watch and listen to a stream that has a story, it is immersion-breaking to hear a weird ad-jingle in the middle of a sentence.

Disable PiP for mobile I hate ads but understand their necessity, however when I get an ad I always close the stream. The player-in-player ("PiP" lil pop out stream window) on mobile has been turned off in every way that I can (mobile settings, stream/player settings, twitch settings) but still pops out when I close a stream on mobile. but I see only the option to switch subscriber ad "on or off".
