Preferred/Disliked ad categories
I would really like it if ads were categorized based on content; I love seeing ads for things like pizza and restaurants, but I HATE having to sit through an unskippable ad for a horror movie/show. If ads were categorized, there could be a section in Twitch options where I could move different tags into "show me more" and "show me less" status based on what I do or don't want to see.

Alcoholism runs rampant in my family and the alcohol ads are entirely too enticing and normalizing of alcohol use. I actually am a bartender but as I value professionalism, I would never drink at work. I actually haven't drank in months. I use twitch in my free time to destress and distract me (as a viewer) and to hopefully entertain and inspire (as a streamer). I take my role streaming very seriously and have not sipped alcohol in a single stream. I find when watching other streams drinking is almost the incentive to watch- to watch your favorite streamer get drunk. I feel extremely uncomfortable with this and I hope this platform finds a way to stop advertising alcohol as it is seriously enabling and dangerous. Those under a legal drinking age are watching twitch streamers drink excessively and I think this could lead to not only a density of non-sober streamers but non-sober younger viewers developing bad habits. I hope you really take this seriously as I have young family who loves using this app. I hope twitch streaming can be looked at as a profession and in a profession/ career I don't think using alcohol should be acceptable. I am extremely aware this is an unpopular opinion as someone who's only a couple months sober I would very much appreciate the purging of alcohol use and advertising on Twitch. Thank you.

Please give us a way to turn off certain types of ads. If I'm going to be shown ads I would like to be shown things that are interesting to me and something I could actually benefit from being shown.
Being shown a horror ad is both an absolute waste on me and is also something that is driving me away from consuming content in which ads are involved.
Give us a method by which we can select types of ads that are absolutely fruitless for us to be shown so that our experience isn't as negatively effected by their presence.
I love supporting my favorite streamers but I'm close to forgoing viewing ads simply because of the emotional shock I get tased with every time an ad roll starts up.

I agree - I watch twitch to calm down and relax during these scary times, and scary/horror ads can freak me out for days. If the only solution is to choose a different form of media I will have to do that rather than watch twitch.

I would love to be able to pick the topics of the adverts shown as pre-rolls or when I run an ad break, for example a US viewer (I'm UK based) had condom adverts and whilst I'm all for safe ***, I'm not sure that its the kind of adverts I want viewers associating with my channel, some choice in the level of maturity on adverts (based on the disclosed age of a Twitch account) and the types of adverts shown to viewers would be greatly appreciated.

No matter how many times I report an ad for being offensive to my beliefs it keeps showing the same offensive ads. I am a very sensitive adult and don't need or want to see those types of ads. Please make it so, if your gonna show ads to the public make them FAMILY FRIENDLY OR SAFE TO WATCH!

for the past few days I have been getting ads for 18+ Games and Shows (amazon) and I just think its absolutely inappropriat. There has to be an option to stop that. I do not ever want to see zombie stuff or horror trailers when I watch something on twitch. I don't watch twitch to be scared and what if I watch a stream with kids in the room.? Content has to be kids friendly to have advertisements on so the advertisements have to be kid friendly too.

Make them gaming, music, or something connected to the types of streams people do on your platform. Then your hitting key markets and upsetting less viewers

Absolutely agree, and that same ad ruined my appetite this morning. Why in the world do we have to agree to watch mature streams, but then something 10x more graphic can get a free pass?

There should be an option to remove inappropriate ads from being shown on your channel. At the very least ads should be in 2 categories, probably more. They should be grouped and chosen based on the streamers channel and what is deemed appropriate.

We should choose our ads ;-)

Agree please! Tuning in with my child next to me is near a nightmare, let alone endorsing a stream of ours with their face/voice featured on the stream. Mortifying to say the least.

Family Friendly Streamers are forced to advertise Ads that are NOT appropriate for the 13 y/o age requirement for twitch, let alone for family friendly streamer.
Can we please have an option to either not run ads (and just lose that revenue) OR a family friendly ad genre.

I absolutely agree. The millisecond I see a (triggering) ad, I am 100% done with that program/channel/service. If I wanted to feel bad, I would have turned on the news: Since I didn't, I came to Twitch to unwind. You can't relax if all of the bad is forced on you the second you reach Twitch.

I would love a family friendly option for family friendly streamers to filter the ads that are played on our channels. Especially if we are forced to have ads play at different intervals we should be able to filter what is played to a degree. A category that is rated pg13 and/or family friendly, for those Twitch members who fall in line with the age limit for having a Twitch account as well as family friendly content creators, would help classify ad content as family friendly thus cutting out a lot of if not all of the inappropriate ad content being played on our channels without our control or consent. We should not be forced to view inappropriate content on a channel we specifically chose for being family friendly, or force our viewers to do the same on our family friendly channels.

There is a swedish ad that offends me.. two guys are literally going at each other such ads are not suitable for non-mature and there is a lot kids watching Twitch. Let us block/report ads that we consider not suitable.

Block adult content would be preferred. I can get behind Sharmin, Kodo, and G-fuel. Dump any Amazon-self ad's for violence and destruction. Having the Boyz come up every 30 seconds is a BIG Turn off.

There are certain ads that are really inappropriate for me or for certain age groups, and if there was a way to click something on the ad screen to make it so specific ads would stop playing for your account would be great.
Like the "The Boys" show commercials for example, that is a show that has very core central content that is very triggering for me and others I know. I don't want to think about that show, I don't want to see ads for that show every time I try to load streams or during ad breaks in those streams, and if I was watching YouTube for example - or even a couple other platforms for video content - I could there is a thing I can click to make it so that a specific ad will stop being shown to me.
Yes, it trains their algorithm to show/not show me specific categories. But while it would be cool for accounts of minors to be able to not be shown ads for more mature audiences or whatever, that seems fine - I would really love to be able to get away from specific ones...

Certain topics of ads may be inappropriate or triggering to some users. For example, I would like to be able to not be shown ads containing images or references to alcohol, including ads for events hosted or sponsored by brands which produce alcohol.
