Include Gift Subs in the Partner Plus program
The Partner Plus program is a great step in the right direction for creators on Twitch and I am grateful for the opportunity for a 70/30 split.
However, this program should include gift subscriptions.
The requirement of “a sub count of at least 350 recurring paid subscriptions for three consecutive months” is only achievable for a small percentage of streamers, even those with a high CCV that qualifies them to be in the top 1% of the platform. It is not only difficult to achieve for even those dedicated to Twitch, but having this requirement may even discourage gift subscriptions in communities because being gifted a subscription could take away the possibility of somebody subscribing on their own. To continue to increase revenue for both content creators and Twitch itself, it is essential to encourage gift subscriptions.
I believe there are multiple solutions that could be discussed to allow gift subscriptions to count in the Partner Plus program while still being beneficial for all of us:
1) Include gift subscriptions in the 350 sub requirement
2) Add an additional requirement of 350 recurring paid subscriptions OR 500+ gift subs (or any other number deemed profitable/reliable, I just put 500 as a basepoint suggestion)
3) Extend the requirement for gift subs, example: 350 recurring paid subscriptions over three consecutive months OR 350 consistent gift subscriptions over six consecutive months
So many of us have stayed dedicated to Twitch and prioritized subscriptions as our main source of revenue (me included). Now more than ever, encouraging gift subscriptions is essential for success for us all.

Then an single or few oilers allow you to buy into the 70/30 program? I disagree with this. In my opinion the existing metrics required for it is pressuring the few streamers that need or want it, to produce higher effort content. I understand Twitch streaming isn't meant for high effort content, but all you need to do is either A, produce better content or B get better in networking with more streamers. Its a community effort platform.

Why hasn’t this been fixed yet? This is obviously artificial scarcity at work. It’s a dirty, pathetic, shameful trick to pull.
Honestly, at this point, I think the only way to get Twitch to listen is to go on a sub strike and support streamers through tipping only.

Twitch need to remove anonymus subs gift because people are abusing with this anonymus funtion and thats it, 70/30 for everyone with 350 subs or more... because sub gift = paid sub.

Removing gift subscriptions from the criteria for this Partner Plus program basically removes the ability for anyone with a smaller/mid-sized community (compared to those with 1-2k+ CCV consistently) to qualify for this, and those are the creators who need the higher revenue split in order to pay their bills effectively. Those are the creators that make up the majority of streamers on this platform.
The current criteria only make it look like an unreachable goal to try and meet for anyone look up to it, and it's very discouraging seeing that gift subs from the wonderful communities we've built are virtually worthless in the eyes of Twitch's Partner Plus program.

If someone gifted me, you're saying it isn't worth a dollar amount? Thats funny... then why do you take their money if its not real?

Gift subs should count! That's all I can say really.

Yes! And also - to echo Emi’s recent comment below, I also agree that having gift subs count perhaps as 1/2 a sub point instead of a point for purposes of the Twitch Partner Plus program could be a potential solve here. Twitch may be trying to encourage engagement by excluding gift subs, but it is important to remember that gift subs also drive engagement - most of my own subscriptions to other streamers came from continuing gift subs - including Emi’s! Do it, Twitch, it’s worth it! Make gift subs count!

It is probably impossible to have each sub be unique for that requirement. Gift subs are more likely to occur and should count.

I can't edit this existing UserVoice - but I really wish I could add an option for gift subs counting half a point. Twitch has just now provided an update that Tier 1/Tier 2/Tier 3 subs have different points that contribute to the Partner Plus requirements. Including gift subs in *any* capacity would be huge right now - otherwise it's getting to the point of discouraging them.

Yes please. And if you're not going to include gifted subs then please provide in our statistics an itemized breakdown of our differently sourced subs. I have over 1200 subs rn but prob 80% are from generous channel gifters. I don't know of any way to see exactly how many of my subs are "paid subs".

Other than promoting a more balanced stream/life balance culture, i think this is the best way to make sure twitch remains the #1 live streaming platform of choice. Ensuring the most possible streamers make the most money they possibly can, will keep the best streamers on twitch & keep twitch ahead of other platforms.

Gifts subs should be included. It's not fair to rate self subs only.

I feel that gift subs should be considered, but also that the better rate should be extended to affiliates too.

Gift subs should be included. That in itself seems to be challenging for streamers.

Agreed, I believe that including gift subs in the Partner Plus program on Twitch is an incredible way for streamers and the platform. Not only does it provide an amazing boost to the streamer’s performance. Making things easier and better for regular streamers is a fantastic idea for the platform as it fosters healthy competition and encourages growth within the community. By recognizing the value of gift subs and incorporating them into the Partner Plus program, Twitch can empower streamers to reach new heights and create a more engaging and supportive environment for both creators and viewers.

I’m already discouraging my community to gifts subs because of this new program which just doesn’t make sense… this is bad for both the streamer and twitch. So the idea of 500-700 gifted subs is brilliant. That’s a win win for everyone.

AGREED ON ALL OF THIS! Gifters make up a larger majority of the revenue twitch earns as well as what all of us earn each month. To exclude that would be to say that gifted subs aren't as valued and that is an insult to our communities that support us through and through on this platform. Let's make this split make sense and please include them! Thank you!

Agreed. Twitch will happily count gift subs as something to take a 50% cut from, and gift subs are valid for SubFests, Subathons, and literally everything else. But they're choosing not have them count in this instance?? Why should it matter whether the subs are gifted or not, they still get the same cut from us regardless.
