1. Can we roll back to the good app?

   Can you roll the Fire TV app back to the old UI please? Selecting a followed channel should not default to the Unfollow button & the ability to scroll back through the entire catalogue of VoD contact needs to be reinstated. If I'm a few weeks behind on a streamed series like Critical Role, I need to be able to get to where I left off (ike I used to be able to do), but now anything more than a few weeks old is inaccessible without going through search, which only brings up some of the things I search for & is minimal use. Last time I checked, my old (non 4k Firestick) still had these features, but now the app has auto-doengraded to the current ****. Please sort it out.

4. Twitch TV App for PS5 -Latest Version Update (November 2022) Review

   The Twitch TV App for Playstation 5 updated to the latest version (November 2022). I like the inclusion of the about me section, it provides a helpful description of what a channels' content is. The homepage now includes a selection of viewable categories -with ready to browse through channels being showcased. A welcome feature. But there may be one too many viewable categories (to browse through downwards) on the homepage. Fewer sections/ viewable categories could aid the homepage in appearing less clunky. Or an option that allows users to personally customize which categories appear on their homepage -would be wonderful. I appreciate that the followed channel list now details the last time a streamer went live -such info is useful when cleaning/ clearing the list of channels one follows. The addition of an uptime display -detailing how long a current stream has been running/ live is appreciated.

   Things that worked well before the November 2022 update -and now don't.

   When browsing through channels in a category. A current live video preview of the channel was accessible -without actually entering the channel -simply placing the browsing cursor on a channel activated the live preview. Since the update no channel previews are seen -only non-updating frozen screen captures/ thumbnails of the channel appear.

   A channels' screen captured image/ thumbnail/ screenshot no-longer updates. Therefore many a time, a user will notice an interesting channel thumbnail/ screenshot -click to enter the channel -only for the channel to be far removed from the scene of that in the thumbnail. The screen captured thumbnail/ image never updates, no matter the number of minutes passed -a user will have to close the entire App and then reopen it, in order to get an updated thumbnail/ image.

   When browsing a section:- be it, from ones followed channel list or any other category. Previously, it was possible to scroll/ browse through the live followed channels list -enter/ open a channel of interest -then back-away and leave the channel. Such an action would return the selection cursor/ scroller to the position of last/ recently entered channel (in the following channel list). However, after the Twitch Tv update for PS5 the selection cursor/ scroller is always returned to the very top/ beginning of the followed channel list. Hence the user has to once again browse through from the very top/ beginning. An unnecessary and painful chore. Imagine attempting to review a number of channels, from a category with many live channels to browse through -and then having to repeat these actions several times.

   Finally, in my opinion the most unnecessary inclusion in the TV App update for PS5 is that of requiring a scan of a QR Code, in order to access the chat section of a channel. After a successful login into Twitch App TV, the last thing a user expects nor needs is the requirement for extra external inputs outside the Twitch TV app -to simply chat. This was not the case in the previous version of the TV app for PS5, which made using the app expedient and efficient. What benefits does a user derive, from the extra step of a QR Code? How necessary is it? To what extent?

5. Chatting via controller/remote

   You used to be able to chat via controller/remote control on the console and TV apps but now we have to use our phones to do so. Why tf do I have to use two devices at the same time (tv and phone) to have the full Twitch experience?

   I completely agree with you that this is quite an annoying behavior of the LG webOS app.It would be great if the app had the ability to customize how long a Twitch chat should remain open without being moved remotely.I can understand how this can break the UI if the chat stays open forever, so setting the fade time would be ideal.Let's hope the developers of the app take note of this and add such a setting in future updates.

8. On the LG WebOS app, make it so the twitch chat does not disappear over a period of time without remote movement. Or give us a settingto pin

   The chat closes after a period of time if there is no remote movement, which is frustrating when sitting and watching. Maybe leave the chat open permanently or give a setting to make it disappear over a period of time

9. Revert (Un)Follow button update webOS (2022-09-05?)

   The recent update (2022-09-05?) to the LG webOS app moved the (Un)Follow button from the bar to a separate, in-stream, button.
   This also made it so that you no longer (on reflex) can press Right button x4 + Enter to activate chat, (which you want to see, ref: https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310225-twitch-applications-tv-apps/suggestions/41734411-on-the-lg-webos-app-make-it-so-the-twitch-chat-do)

   because the movement of the indicator STOPS (bug/badUI!) at the Unfollow button, which instead causes you to accidentally unfollow your favorite streamer and lose your YEARS LONG followage!

   PLEASE revert the UI change and put the (Un)Follow button back to the bar where it was placed perfectly fine before.

11. echo show

    Better integration of Twitch and easier/more reliable use of Twitch via Alexa/Echo devices and Fire TV... I should be able to easily change channels and watch twitch streams via Echo Show 8/10/5 as well as stream Twitch audio to an Echo Studio Stereo Pair... the Echo skill is unreliable at best, and makes it difficult to change between streamers... and the Fire TV skill does not support raids and just ends the channel...

12. Don’t show the UI immediately when a channel loads

    With the latest app update (on or around 3/30/22), when a channel loads on the FireTV app, the UI loads in front of it.

    The screen is obscured by a somewhat opaque black layer, which covers or hides the content. The channel name and information about the channel as well as action buttons (settings, show chat window, report) appear as part of this interruption.

    BUT YOU CAN’T CLOSE THE UI IMMEDIATELY, to get to the content faster. This is incredibly frustrating.

    In the previous version it was awkward, but at least doable, either by pressing up or down while on that menu (one or the other, depending on unknown factors).

    Here’s the thing: I didn’t select the channel to see your UI - I selected the channel to see the content the channel provides. Your UI interrupts that, obnoxiously.

    It was just as obscured in the previous release, but I figured a work-around to get out of it - pressing up or down while one of the buttons was selected, immediately after the channel loads.

    But now I can’t even do that.

    Honestly, it hinders my experience on every channel now, right when I land on the channel. And I am not patient enough to wait - I’d imagine most of your user base is the same (i.e. impatient, want to see the content as quickly as possible).

    Solution: when I select a channel on the FireTV app, and the channel loads, DON’T show the overlapping UI by default. Only show it if I hit up, or left, or down, or right, or OK. That way you can leave the Back button for what it’s meant for, give users access to the UI buttons when needed and stop irritating me by covering the content I want to see immediately.

    Seriously, it’s like trying to see over a tall guy’s head in a movie theater. And every time I get situated but then happen to press a remote key accidentally, the obstruction pops up again and can’t be immediately dismissed. It makes Twitch look like laggy, outdated fecal matter.

    There may be an even better way to solve the issue, but the problem is the same: don’t obscure any of the content or hinder me from consuming it, at all, until I deem it necessary and need to do something else (like open the chat).

    This is frustrating me enough to just go watch Netflix, or YouTube, or some other form of entertainment instead, and especially to stop paying for a no-ads Twitch subscription. I consume content to feel good as quickly as possible; and this bug gives me a bad taste in my mouth immediately, on every channel I load.

    Please fix this quickly.

14. Chromecast App (Cast)

    Update casting a stream (Chromecast)

    Recently, you updated the Twitch Chromecast App with the actual design, improving vods, etc...

    But i use the "cast to" with the Twitch mobile app, an it carries me to the old design from the Chromecast App, and without chat (we don't have an option to put the chat in the Casting format).

    So please, update the Casting format to the actual Chromecast App Update.

15. Add a choose latency (faster/slower) on existing LG TV App

    Would appreciate to have an additional option to choose to the latency / lag on the LG TV app. I noticed that on the Twitch app on my mobile, I get a twitch stream around 4-5 seconds ahead than on the LG TV.

    I appreciate that it is possible to select video quality like 360p, 420p, 720p, 1080p, etc. But currently, I do not see an option to get a faster latency from the streamers stream. The value here is getting to discuss with chat as real-time as possible. Since topics jump quickly the bigger the viewer count, sometimes the discussion has already finished before it even is heard/see on the video part on the stream on the LG TV App.

    Again, I appreciate the improvements you have made to the LG TV app but would appreciate if we have the capacity to add this feature.

16. Remember the quality that I select on Amazon Fire Stick

    I am tired of having to reselect the quality from 1080p to 480p every single time that I put on a new stream. Please remember my choice of 480p as the default for every channel

17. Sending emotes in TV apps

    Currently it's not possible to participate to the chat from the FireTV App.
    Sending text messages from the TV is definetly not reasonable. But selecting emotes to support some kind of hype in the chat could be easy doable with the FireTV remote.

    I think that increases the feeling to be a part of the stream as viewer and therefore the viewers satisfaction. Also it could be one more reason to subscribe to that streamer.

19. Stop showing channels from other languages when browsing a game category.

    When logged into my Twitch account on the Google TV Twitch app and I'm browsing a game category, please only show channels for the language that the app or OS is set at.

    The filter option works great but you have to set the filter almost every single time you go back into that category. For example, navigate to the Grand Theft Auto V category, set the filter to any language, select a livestream, watch for a little bit 2-5 minutes, back out of the livestream and you will notice the filter has been removed.

    I would rather not have to select a filter when the app should be smart enough to only show channels in my language

20. filter and keyboard of the Fire TV Cube

    1.) At the moment it doesn't seem to be possible to filter for German or other languages with the current Fire TV Cube app. There is therefore no longer any way of seeing which language the respective stream is in. This was still possible in the old version of the app.
    2.) I don't like that you can no longer send short messages using the Fire TV Cube keyboard and that you have to use the Twitch app on your cell phone or tablet.
