Random Stream Button The discovery page lacks a "Play Random" feature. It might be fun and interesting to enter a random stream in a Category. It might help casual and new users find entertaining streams much easily and faster.
The user that clicks on the button will be forwarded to a random stream in the previously chosen category. To find another stream the user will simply click on the same button that will appear on the header of the page.256 votes -
Add swimming as a category Under the categories, you should have a category for streaming swimming. You currently have categories for other workout/physical training.

Categories Under the categories, you should have a category for streaming a show. Not just gaming, but I do interviews, and play board type games with the audience. Allow for multiple categories also

sound on esports browser this was probably thought of already, or suggested and shot down,
but what about adding sound to the Esports Directory, instead of having to navigate to the channel, enable sound on the Esports Directory so that I (and maybe others) can just from game to game and be able to listen to commentary.

gebannte acc finden den kanal nicht mehr und sind keine follower mehr ich möchte es so darstellen wenn leute gebannt werden das sie den jeweiligen kanal nicht mehr finden in dem sie gebannt worden sind und auch wenn möglich ist der sub wegenommen wird und auch zugleich keine follower mehr sind auf dem diesbezüglichen kanal halt. könnte man dies einrichten sowas würde es glaub vielen das streamen erleichtern. zudem muss auch die ip adresse gesperrt werden bei demjenigen das der nicht mit weiteren acc´s in den stream kommt und weiter denjenigen belässtigt.

In light of recent COVID-19, colleges have had to move lectures to online only. We have had to deal with problematic systems like zoom, both teachers and students dislike the quality and lack of security. I request that there be feature that allows verified students in a stream with verified teachers.

New and Upcoming Streamers Tab I was just thinking about an idea that would probably help people who are new to streaming on Twitch to have a tab list of New and upcoming streamers who have like 100 followers or less to see an entire list of new streamers who haven't had that many followers to be easily seen to give chance for them to be noticed by channels who have slightly bigger followership and viewership. The Ability to Change Video/Broadcast Tags So... My uploading tags didn't change when I changed them before streaming and now I am in a situation of having a chainsaw safety video labelled under Minecraft. There currently is absolutely no way to change a video tag on your own videos. I don't want my chainsaw video in the Minecraft category. I believe this should have been a feature at the beginning of the tag function because tags are added on a daily-weekly basis as is. I also think it should be available for situations like mine. Add More Category’s Add more categories so people can find streamers doing things they are interested in, try and break up all the just chatting streamers so they have more specific things to say what they are streaming. I’d like a Graphic Design category personally.

More Main Page Sorting Options, Please! Please add more sorting options! When we can only sort by recommended/Highest view counts we only see the same games over and over and that causes us to get REALLY bored with twitch. This will help you guys retain more viewership AND help gamers find new games. It's a complete win-win!
Some ideas: Sort Games by Viewers: Low to High, Sort by Publishing Date (New to Old and Old to new), Trending, etc.

Provide RSS or JSON feeds for Categories Category pages should provided an RSS or JSON feed (see jsonfeed.org) for users to subscribe to in feed aggregators such as Feedly or Inoreader.

Add filtering by tag to endpoints that return streams (Get Streams, Search Channels) We can get stream tags, but we can not filter streams by a tag ID. However it can be easily done from the official app. Like to get streams tagged as "Family Friendly" or "Squads", or "Mode: Battle Royale" etc.
Please provide API for 3d party developers :)

New Streamers Apart from being able to select streams by view count, high to low and vice versa, why not make a different category for smaller streamers in games to separate from bigger streamers, allowing the smaller streamers to watch among themselves and build up their audience without having to compete for spotlight from bigger viewer capture-ers.

Exclusion list of tags when browsing I love being able to browse when I'm bored, but I would love to see an option to exclude (and save) certain tags.
For example: "Sports game"
I know that I will never be interested in Sports games, so having the option to exclude those would be so much easier than clicking each and every sports game to go "Not interested".
Of course there would need to be an option to see and edit such a saved list, so people could remove tags from their exclusion list if they change their minds.204 votes
