How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. I log onto twitch to enjoy some stream content of my favorite streamer, game, or community for the day. I am encountered with streams without my choice(also known as consent) that I have no interest in, disagree with politically, feel are being pushed on me for political purposes, do not want to watch, do not even want to see for one second, and think I should not have to see. All I request is a simple option in user settings that allows me to opt out of hosts, raids, or "twitch" chosen streams on the home screen. This would improve…

  3. There’s a channel that just unfollowed for a reason. However, “Recommended Channels” continues to recommend channels that I just unfollowed to me. I would like you to modify this algorithm.

  5. Okay so within Games we currently have recommended games and recommended gaming stream, which are great, then it starts listing streams of different genres. My idea is to create a separate page for each genre, then when you start the list, it can be of some or the top games or recommended games within that genre.
For example, I click on games, then I click on RPG. I then see a few recommended RPGs as icons like normal at the top, then some recommended streams like where the "recommended gaming streams" is right now, then take some of the top…

  6. this was probably thought of already, or suggested and shot down,

but what about adding sound to the Esports Directory, instead of having to navigate to the channel, enable sound on the Esports Directory so that I (and maybe others) can just from game to game and be able to listen to commentary.

  8. Allow videos or Channel trailers to get recommended for real this time.
Let people React to it ( Like/Dislike/Twitch Emotes) and if the video gets engagement/Positive feedback allow it to get recommended by MORE people.

  9. I wish there was a page on twitch where you can check who streamed how many hours ago within your followed list. This would come in handy due to twitch being a website where anybody can stream at anytime of the day and I don't want to miss out on streams that happened when I was for example asleep. I know that you can see if streames that I follow have streamed if there is a vod left but that UI is absolute dog **** and I want a page where I can check more easily.

  12. I would like to see categories which are similar enough to each other get combined. It would make browsing for streams much easier, and help find exactly what i'm looking for.
There are currently several categories for games like Zelda Wind Waker (the original and the HD remake), so any viewer who wants to find some wind waker streams needs to check all of the categories to see all of the streams, but it is basically the same game. This is the case for many other situations, too, such as how the retro tag and the retro category are seperate,…

  13. For people who love games, especially multiplayer games such as PUBG, CSGO, World of Warcraft, etc. It's very easy to find new channels on the Browse page.

However, for people who really dislike these types of games, and prefer to watch streams for their (positive) communities, it's almost impossible to find new streamers.

When heading to the browse directory, there's an option: "Show me", where you can select Channels. Perfect. However, this shows just the most popular streamers mostly playing the games we don't want to see. There's a second filter: "Streaming from", which is even more irrelevant for the…

  14. This would be similiar to the category retro for and it makes a lot of sense, because people who enjoy watching visual novels usually don't have a particular game in mind, they would enjoy scrolling through the games that are live right now.

  15. It's very hard to find streamers from Portugal in the middle of so many Brazilian streamers (Brazil has almost 20 times the population of Portugal), dividing it by Portuguese (BR) or Portuguese (PT) would make things a lot easier. This is the standard in programs, subtitles and games, since we use a lot of different terms. I think both sides of the language would welcome this change.

  17. At some stage the "Fear & Hunger" game category has disappeared from twitch.

it's sequel, Fear & Hunger 2 : Termina is an available category, but not the first game.

Fear & Hunger still exists in IGDB ID: 114110

  18. When browsing Categories by Recommended for You, if I mark a Category as Not Interested, when I then browse Live Channels by Recommended for You, all channels in that category should be filtered out.

For example, I marked ASMR and Pools, Hot Tubs, & Beaches as Not Interested but I still see channels in those categories in the recommended channels section. I have to then mark each individual channel as Not Interested. Just marking the category as not interested should filter all those channels out automatically.

  19. So far I have only found the ability to hide or block streamers content on the for you type page of twitch, but the ability to do this in the general browsing sections especially when browsing live channels would be helpful especially for those who want to see less individuals who show a lot of skin.

The general block and ban functions available in chats doesn't do this, nor should it.

  20. What about giving users a ban option right away instead of just not recommended?

This goes for any kind of channel, regular, Vtuber, LGBT,etc

This is a follow up to my previously posted idea
