How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

If you need help:
This forum is for ideas only. If you need help, please check out our help portal for tons of articles that may answer your questions. If you still need help, you can reach out to our support team in the help portal as well!

Appeals or commentary on suspension decisions, support requests, suggestions disparaging others, and non-constructive feedback will be closed without comment.

  1. Right now on the twitch app, you can tap someone’s name for the ban and timeout options to show up. However, when using timeout, it defaults to 10 minutes. Please add options to the timeout feature on the mobile app that allow mods to choose between different set times for a timeout. Such as: 1 second(purge), 1 hour, 1 day, ect. My biggest wish is to just being able to purge someone’s messages from stream when I need to mod from mobile. If more timeout options can’t be added, then at least add a ‘Purge’ option to the app that…

  2. Please add the option for pinned messages to stay around for longer.

Sometimes you just want the pinned message to be pinned for one day only.
The only way to do that currently is to set the duration as "until the stream ends" when the Broadcaster is offline and then requiring you to remember to unpin it again in a timely manner.
It would be really great to have more option for how long a message should be pinned for, ideally similar to the options you get for the duration of a timeout.

  3. Twitch should add a specific Potential Viewbotting option directly to its live channel reporting tool. This would allow users to immediately flag suspicious streams for staff to investigate. To prevent users from abusing the tool, the system should include safety limits that block the same account or IP address from spamming multiple reports against the same channel. By giving the community a secure way to report unusual activity, Twitch can better track down malicious botting services while protecting creators from targeted harassment campaigns.

  4. As a moderator there has been times where I've been looking through the Unban requests but without the ability to approve or deny said request
Making me have to ping the streamer either on discord or through whispers to deal with the problem because I can't do anything about it

  5. The new feature that lets people comment on clips is amazing.

However, I immediately looked for a tool for moderators and editors that would centralize all new comments for moderation purposes.

It’s going to get complicated to moderate these comments if someone comments on a clip from two years ago that’s buried deep at the bottom of the list.

We need some kind of activity feed in the dashboard to see all new comments in one place and be able to moderate them.

  6. Hello, I had the idea that you could pin items outside of the mod view on your phone and then also determine how long they remain pinned, using a colon next to the Pinned message. Perhaps this can be triggered by long-pressing on the message What's new in the latest update.

Then you wouldn't always have to open the mod view and select it there. It would be cool if that could be implemented somehow. Thanks for reading. If it happens ^^

  7. Add the ability to pin your own message back on mobile mod view. We used to be able to, but at some point that feature went away.

  8. Twitch staff (moderation side) are actual ******* retards (I can use this word if Asmongold & the president of USA can).

It's honestly so disgusting. Twitch actively ignoring people who just straight up right stolen vods while at the same time there is NO LEVEL of editing or anything I can do to make unique transformative content according to Twitch - despite the advice of a literal copyright attorney which I consulted.

This is just a DISGUSTINGLY bad platform.

What is my recommendation for Twitch to improve it's moderation?

    JUST...
    BE...
    FAIR!..

It TRULY is THAT ******* SIMPLE but these…

  9. As a paying Twitch subscriber, I am asking Twitch to distinguish intentional sexual content from the brief, incidental display of original album artwork during music-focused streams.

Many commercially released records, particularly older releases, contain nudity in their original cover art. When a streamer shows that artwork only to identify, discuss, or introduce the music—not to present sexual content—a severe account suspension is disproportionate.

Please consider context, intent, duration, and framing when enforcing the Adult Nudity policy.

For incidental album artwork, warnings, VOD removal, or an opportunity to blur or cover the image would be far more appropriate than immediate account-level…

  10. Moderators can currently either monitor or restrict a user. These are two different moderation actions with different effects on the user.

The problem is that these two states are displayed completely identically to moderators. A user who is being monitored and a user who has been restricted receive the exact same indicator in the moderation interface.

As a result, a moderator cannot tell at a glance which of the two states is actually active.

This already causes regular confusion between moderators, even on smaller channels. In my own moderation work, this is a genuine challenge, especially when multiple moderators are…

  11. I would like to clarify why a very common word in the Russian-speaking community—the name of a domestic farm animal, specifically "Петух" (the male chicken)—has been added to the list of prohibited words.

This term is widely used when discussing farming, agriculture, or poultry. Human moderators can easily determine its intended meaning from the context and remove only genuinely offensive content when necessary - and give a ban for that.

Why has this word been added to the general prohibited-word dictionary if the automated system cannot take context into account? It appears unable to distinguish between an insult and a…

  12. All Moderators should be auto-subscribed. Mods miss out on important context during advertisements and we should get to use the channel emotes without restrictions. Emotes help us make community announcements with the emotes.

  14. Creating an system that allows auto mod to block certain words for only a specific group, mainly antibot thought.

This could also be applied for follow age instead of account age, and other trust factors

example: new account (maybe few hours old) he sends something about scams or buying viewers, AutoMod will auto block the terms for that no matter how sensitive is the terms are. while for users with older accounts will be more protected and be able to bypass that really sensitive filtering.

  15. So, The emotes on twitch is currently bugging out because some users reported that the emotes would display incorrectly depending on what the user have last see the emote. For example, If a mod posts a pinned message with moving emotes. The emote will shake uncontrollably and show different wrong emotes from other channels. If I had to guess it's because twitch system works on a system where the displaying of the emotes on certain platform causes it to get confused and called the incorrect emotes instead.

  19. To further strengthen platform security, Twitch should introduce a native, advanced AI Threat Intelligence Shield. While the current Suspicious User Detection tools are helpful, streamers and viewers still face sophisticated bot invasions, mass script attacks, credential-stuffing threats, and sudden spikes in malicious traffic that can trigger accidental account bans or major security breaches.

This native AI bot would act as a proactive, real-time security layer with the following features:
1.Pre-Emptive Brute Force Blocking: Automatically detect and lock down rapid login attempts or suspicious location changes before a hacker can breach a creator's account.
    2.Global Threat Intel Sharing: If a bot…
