How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. I mod for team Tempo Storm. Every streamer is added to the Tempo Storm community which we use to promote who is online in our website or through apps or bots on discord/curse. My role is to ensure every team member, no matter which game they are playing, is doing well and chat is behaving. This is sometimes hard to do if the streamer hasn't met me through the team contacts, or some other reason. These streamers may be hesitant to mod me or others like me in the same role.

So my suggestion is to add a community based…

  3. Hello Twitch Team,

I would like to suggest more detailed permissions for moderators, focusing on Affiliate and Partner tools. Many streamers struggle to manage items such as emotes, signup badges, Bits images, and Channel Points, but currently this requires full Editor access, which is often more than necessary.

A specific permission set that allows moderators to manage signup features, Bits visuals, and Channel Points rewards, without access to financial data or broadcast and security settings, would significantly improve workflow and channel security.

This would be especially helpful for Affiliates and Partners working with organized moderation teams.

    Thank you for your…

  4. I would like to suggest the creation of a new editor-level role or permission set designed specifically to help streamers manage Affiliate and Partner features, without requiring full Editor access.

This new role could allow trusted moderators to assist with:

    Managing subscriber emotes

    Managing subscriber badges

Managing Bit badges and Bit-related images

Uploading and updating images related to subscriptions and Bits

Managing Channel Points rewards (creation, editing, enabling/disabling)

    Organizing Affiliate/Partner visual assets

At the same time, this role would not include access to:

    Financial information or payouts

    Stream key or broadcast settings

    Account security or sensitive configurations

    Many streamers rely…

  5. Similar to the /mod command for giving a sword, maybe a /tempmod command that will give someone mod for a specific timeframe (customizable would be nice, similar to timeouts) before they go back to a VIP or regular chatter?

This could probably come in handy if a streamer with smaller numbers is on the Front Page, if a small streamer gets raided by a much larger streamer, etc.
It would also save a lot of streamers from the extra step of having to "/unmod" after the stream since the mod sword would drop off once the timer is up.

  7. With the current bot situation starting to add special characters to their message, adding the new phrase every time is a bit of an annoyance. It would be nice if there was a way for automod to look at a message like [b,b̲][e,ë,è][s][t] to block "best" "bëst" "bèst""b̲est" "b̲ëst" and "b̲èst" for example

  8. This has been the third time now that other streamers I share banned info with has come to me as to a reason behind a flagged chatter as being banned in my channel. I go and check my banned list, and that username is not banned in my channel. There are no mod comments/reasons shown on their moderation flags either. If it's because of auto-mod ban evasion or another reason, this needs to be implemented into the mod comments somehow so other streamers know the reason.

As for right now I've told the other streamers I share banned info with,…

  9. Currently, ModView is bugged. The Ad Timer disappears for mods/editors after a short time during stream. Pins are not visible to moderators most of the time within Modview and now, as a Mod, I am no longer being sent along on Raids. This just started on Friday (8/23)

  11. Ban thirst traps. This platform used to be for gamers and creators, now it seems to be about lazy thirst traps wanting a quick buck. Ban hot tub streams and require a dress code of sorts to keep thirst traps off the platform. Have some respect for the creators that they steal views from just because their basically naked.

  12. Give moderators the ability to temporarily suspend the ability for new viewers/chatters to follow the stream. This would be a useful feature for when followbots and/or hate raids attack a channel, the mods could put /followsoff (or similar) in chat to make the follow button unavailable for that stream. This would prevent mass followbots, prevent hate raiders from following, and prevent the painful process of streamers having to break away from their content and deal with turning off alerts and other mitigation measures. The mods could then use /followson (or similar) to reactivate follows. (There could be a "default" where…

  13. Allowing the editor to delete the moderators messages

because some moderators may make a mistake by placing a wrong link, mistakenly suspect it, or make a mistake in anything, so the editor can delete the message.

  14. The website https://www.twitch.tv/moderator/ is useful, but it is limited to 100 channels and randomly. I can see 100 channels there, ok, but several other channels like that are not there. For example, now three partner channels are online and they don't appear there for me, some with partner and without are there at the same time. I don't know the requirements to go there, but there are channels that have been online for more than 2 hours and are not in the middle or at the top of the list. It doesn't appear anywhere.
The moderation tool in the moderator…

  15. Moderators are important individuals on Twitch who dedicate a significant amount of time voluntarily to maintain a clean environment. They play a crucial role in supporting streamers and fostering the formation of communities.
Will there be a possibility in the future for communities to support moderators? Or is this something that is not considered by Twitch?

I am active in several communities and know that the viewers would always like to send something to the moderators as a thank you. Currently we have to run all this via third parties or streamers forward the bits to the moderators, for example.…

  16. Mods can flag a Suspicious user on chat, but the streamer can only see "Username flagged as Suspicious by Badiiin" for example.

it would be way more useful if the streamer could see the reason why I flagged the user. Writen by the moderator himself.

    Example:

"Username flagged as Suspicious by Badiin, reason: Account created just a minute before the follow"

  17. Right now i can't chat on any twitch cause its asking for me to enter a mobile number. and despite my repeated attempts at getting SOMEONE to disable this stupid targeting on my accounts, nobody is listening. And no I'm not giving my mobile number. u have my verified email and i shouldn't be scrutinized to enter a mobile number. If you need mobile numbers on my account then i'm not using twitch period. and unsubbing from everything and moving to another platform. the fact you single me out for using twitch-tools.de and a vpn shows you don't care about…

  18. Enabling the ability for streamers to upload/download lists of banned terms via .csv or text files would:

    1. Allow streamers to easily add banned terms to their list, as currently, the only way to add banned terms is to type them in one by one.

    2. Allow communities of streamers to share their list banned terms with each other to create a more comprehensive list of banned terms specific to that community

    3. Allow streamers to edit their banned terms in a more flexible format

Altogether, it would allow for much more flexibility and less headache with banned terms.

  19. Make users use bits to send unban request, and giving the streamer the option to select the custom amount of bits.

So even if the streamer denies the appeal, they still keep the bits.

  20. With the mod icons it's far too easy to hit the wrong user as chat scrolls. For deleted messages and timeouts this is a pain, but for bans it pretty much boots the user, so there should be a confirmation prompt.

Other ban methods aren't as prone to going wrong so don't need a prompt.
