How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests

  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  2. I was horrified this week when a long term viewer was accidentally banned because a mod had a faulty mouse. Luckily it was picked up on VERY quickly and the user unbanned however it means they are now on banned lists, lose certain streaks and had a negative experience that could have been avoided.

I do however understand the need to ban users quickly.

As a work around, could there be a 'check' when banning users that meet certain criteria based on either their channel role or follow age to prevent accidental bans?

Better yet, having a settings page where…

  3. Moderator access should include the /raid command and heres why.

    Community Building and Networking:

Raids are a fantastic way for streamers to connect with each other and foster a sense of community. When a streamer raids another channel, their viewers are redirected to the target channel. This cross-promotion helps creators discover new audiences and build relationships.

Moderators, being integral members of a streamer’s community, should have the ability to initiate raids. By doing so, they can actively participate in community-building efforts and contribute to the streamer’s network.

    Assisting Streamers:

Moderators play a crucial role in maintaining chat order, enforcing rules,…

  4. A tool that allows moderators to see users who have tried to use banned words in the chat. As in many chats i have moderated for i have the term "viewers on" banned so scam bots can not post any more. But this means i also can't report them and notify Twitch of the rampant accounts.

  5. Whenever I see people acting in a way I want them banned in the spaces I mod for I find myself opening all those channels & individually banning them there. I'd love to be able to click on users in the chat I'm in & not moderating for & same as with blocking & reporting, select a "ban in channel/ban..." option. Ideally a list should pop up then so I can select where to ban the user as not all channels might apply the same ruleset. I guess being able to enter the reason in those fields then would be…

  6. Hello, I wanted to bring up an issue regarding shared ban info.

I am a moderator for a channel and last year, we raided another channel. Since then, the streamers from both channels have become friends. Recently, we decided to link our channels via shared ban info.

The problem is that some of our regulars were banned from the other channel during the raid a year ago. Now, when our regulars try to chat in our channel, they are being restricted because they are still banned in the other channel.

These are valuable members of our community and it's upsetting…

  7. It makes cleaning up followbot raids and identifying suspicious accounts immediately so much easier. Half the time the bots stop viewing, so you can't pull them from active chat. Being able to click on the username from the Activity Log and ban the user directly is so much more straightforward.

  8. Mods need to be able to raid, set stream titles, and unpublish VODs, not Editors.

These are functions concerning the management of a live stream, and have nothing to do with Video Editing.

If a streamer even has a Video Editor, they're not watching, or managing the streams, so they have no need to do these things.

Further, most streamers don't understand why a mod can't raid out, or change titles, or unpublish VODs if something happens and the channel might be at risk in the moment, while streaming.

And trying to explain why they need to grant "editor" privileges…

  9. where mods can change out emotes remove and give mod and vip and etc and add bots would be helpful for the larger streamers because you dont want to give someone full perms of your account but you do want them to have the perms you would trust them with or they need

  10. Would be nice if we could assign a "super mod" of sorts, so they can do extra things, like un-mod other mods? Not every streamer has the time to sort out grievances in their communities, especially in the mod team, so a "super mod" would be nice to have so they can get rid of toxic people from the team, without having to burden the busy streamer.

  11. The new "banned users cannot watch the stream" might be worth adding to the shield mode system.

So you throw shield mode on and then banned users auto enables if enabled in the shield mode configuration

  12. Now that mod view is on mobile they should add the feature for mods to swap in and out of mod view without having to leave the stream to go back to normal view as well as make all the mod commands work on mobile like /announce /poll and others and make it to were you can pin messages on mobile without needing to have a browser open same thing goes for channel point redemptions and predictions of course giving the mods the option to choose which ones they want on their as well as letting them click to see…

  13. Consider adding mod comments under mod actions, allowing moderators to get an alert whenever a new mod comment is created.

  15. So in practice this idea seems simple and would be effective. The basic premise of this would be that the Streamer can toggle on/off a feature that would require someone to have a twitch account and be following to view the content otherwise it would just be a black screen that says "Please login and follow to view the following content". I think this could help prevent harassment on various levels as I will describe.

    Scenario 1 - Stream Sniping
So for anyone who plays online multiplayer games, stream snipers can ruin a stream quiet fast. Whether it be Fortnite,…

  16. Currently, users can block whispers from strangers (which most seem to have enabled), where strangers are not "someone you follow, someone you subscribe to, one of your mods, or one of your editors".

It would be helpful if mods for "someone you follow or someone you subscribe to" were also included in this list but only be applicable if mods utilize the Quick Whisper button within Mod View. Limiting it to only when the Quick Whisper button is used would keep it from being abused outside of the stream.

This will allow mods to send warnings to users without calling…

  19. As the title says, just a single button allowing the banning, block, and report of bots selling followers. It takes a little while for a small streamer (who are the ones targeted by these bots) to block, ban, and report with a message so that the bots are removed and dont both anyone else. It;s disruptive to the flow of the stream. A single button to ban, block, and areport a bot selling viewers/followers would be a great boon to small streamers and help twitch get rid of more of these bots as no doubt more would be reported.

  20. So my suggestion is to add the ability for accounts to be automatically restricted from chatting based on the email address they used to create the account. I know there's the problem with privacy, personal data etc. The solution is to replace email domains with identifiers unique to every channel, so that emaildomain1 identifier in one channel is different from other channels. If a ban
evader uses for example maildomain1.com to register multiple accounts, moderators should be able to see a unique identifier based on that maildomain1 and flag all future accounts using that maildomain1 as restricted.

    Also there should…
