Sensitive social issues Bullet points need to be removed, not 'clarified'
it doesn't matter how much you 'clarify' the point of the final two bullets, they are not fit for the political category especially when contrasted with the other things in the category. Putting peoples rights in there opens up marginalized groups to hate and bigotry. We want the points REMOVED and twitch's response is completely missing the point the community has been making.
At what point does something go from 'personal experience' to 'too political'? if a streamer talks about their own right to an abortion being taken away where they live, is that personal experience or political? it is entirely subjective. Is a trans person talking about their experiences with HRT 'fact based'? Who determines this? The bigots who will undoubtedly mass report said streamers to shut them up?
"intermittent mentions of (...) sensitive social issues are not required to have the politics and sensitive social issues label" how long is intermittent? most streamers i watch like to have small conversations with chat about social issues, how long can these chats go on for?
I don't understand why you refuse to just take out the 'Sensitive social issues' point. It's what the user base is asking you to do and it is the right thing to do.

Anyone looking into whether partitioning marginalized communities behind "Sensitive social issues" is a violation of federal discrimination laws?

Everything in life is political. This could harm the very existence of marginalized people on the platform. Drop the tag

While the clarification is partially helpful, it doesn't go all the way to protect the vulnerable from false reports, of which while Twitch claims would issue warnings out for first, would likely trigger automatic action.
Our lived lives are "polarising" to some, simply for ***existing***, what protects us from those? Certainly not this.

100% chance that this "clarification" is just what Twitch intended to do from the start, and the earlier post was a target for people to get mad at, and then be satisfied when they "won" by making the company walk it back to something that's still bad but "could've been worse"
This is extremely common bullshittery practiced by corporations and politicians both, don't be fooled folks

This clarification and its surrounding elements remind me of when my high school in the early 00s told us that they respected their "sexual minority students" while still sending me home for wearing a skirt that complied with the dress code.
It embodies the casual bigotry of the comfortable, which empowers the cruel and violent bigotry of the truly hateful.
I don't want to have to take my community and go. I know my fellow trans creators don't want to have to take our communities and go. But if you continue to double down on this we really won't have any option.
And then as various other groups leave bit by bit you'll be much like twitter: dominated by the most toxic and vile parts of humanity.
I can only hope that's not what you're wanting.

And who will make the determination of what meets your clarified standards? Will it be the streamers? Neutral community (gathered using what means, and screened for homophobia and transphobia by what means?)? You, the people who are obviously offended by the existence of queer people and tried to put a sensitivity label up for us in the first place? Obviously none of these are viable choices. You know this already. This is asinine.

These points do not need to be clarified. These points need to be removed. I am not a political issue. Stop making it easier for monsters to ruin our lives. Stand for something.

These points don’t need to be “clarified” remove them altogether. Especially after recent events this rule will only contribute in mass hate mobs against lgbtq+ and especially trans people. Our existence is not political. Are we just supposed to trust an automated system to determine when something isn’t “lived experience”? Remove the points NOW .

Talking about being LGBTQ+ and the ways our lives are impacted by the culture we live in is NOT something that needs a classification label. What constitutes "a polarizing or inflammatory manner" is ENTIRELY subjective, and with an automated enforcement system in place, the potential for bad actors to use this as a tool to silence marginalized communities is plainly an option. Remove this.

So long as people are just trying to live their lives, people are going to talk about what that entails. And if what that entails happens to be on the chopping block of politicians? They're the ones making mundane existence "political", not the streamers' faults.

You can’t both sides this one twitch. We have communities that are under attack, and we’re dammed well going to talk about it. Legislation is getting talked about, experiences are getting talked about, because this is our reality and these are our communities and support systems. BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized streamers exist in your platform and will continue existing on your platform. Legislation, laws, politicians, are all things that affect us directly, and we shouldn’t have to stop and wonder if we need to label our conversations just because advertisers get uncomfy when our rights are under attack.

You're not clarifying anything Twitch. And I get it. You're scared of some big bad government coming to claim you. Well guess what, they're coming to claim you regardless. So man up, stop thinking people are "content" and remove the guidelines completely. You are an important resource for many LGBTQ+ folk and doing this will only further the LGBTQ+ community's harassment.
