Sensitive social issues Bullet points need to be removed, not 'clarified'
it doesn't matter how much you 'clarify' the point of the final two bullets, they are not fit for the political category especially when contrasted with the other things in the category. Putting peoples rights in there opens up marginalized groups to hate and bigotry. We want the points REMOVED and twitch's response is completely missing the point the community has been making.
At what point does something go from 'personal experience' to 'too political'? if a streamer talks about their own right to an abortion being taken away where they live, is that personal experience or political? it is entirely subjective. Is a trans person talking about their experiences with HRT 'fact based'? Who determines this? The bigots who will undoubtedly mass report said streamers to shut them up?
"intermittent mentions of (...) sensitive social issues are not required to have the politics and sensitive social issues label" how long is intermittent? most streamers i watch like to have small conversations with chat about social issues, how long can these chats go on for?
I don't understand why you refuse to just take out the 'Sensitive social issues' point. It's what the user base is asking you to do and it is the right thing to do.

Look, I understand why you think your clarification would solve the problem, but it won't.
The whole point of the "wokeness" freakout is people denying the existence of bigotry. If you want to so much as not let *nazis* on your platform, you are taking political sides.
Sticking your heads in the sand and pretending nothing's happening only makes you look stupid.
Even acknowledging that the LGBTQ community is a thing makes you political in this era of human history. You want to be anti-bigotry, you are going to be taking a political stance.
Deal with it, or look pathetic. Your choice.

Existence is NOT political. Twitch needs to stop caving into pressure from insane right wing bad faith actors and grow a backbone.

Human rights are not ******* debatable! If you choose neither side you side with the oppressors. Do not make it easier for bigots to target minorities on Twitch! I am so ******* disappointed. I want nothing to do with Twitch in this state, disgusting.

So cis white men are people and the rest of us are politically inconvenient merely for existing.
Thanks for clarifying. Message Received, loud and clear.

Having these topics limited to only people with lived experience creates a culture where people are discouraged to speak up when witnessing hateful rhetoric. Limiting engagement to just reporting if one does not want to label their stream with "sensitive social issue" is not enough; it prevents people from having these conversations to create a safer and more welcoming community for others. Conversations is the only way we can properly understand each other and discouraging these conversation is no different to welcoming hate.
Labeling human beings as sensitive "political" issues shows us how this platform actually sees us.

Having to tag streams which mention 'sensitive political issues' like race, women's rights, gender issues, and similar topics exposes marginalized creators to having our content more easily found and attacked - or mobbed with fake complaints - or boycotted - by hate groups, since our lives are inextricably 'political' because hate groups politicize them. The onus should be on site moderation to exclude hate groups, not to facilitate them in preying on the rest of us. Including women as a marginalized community - and we are - that's well over half of twitch's user base that this rule potentially negatively impacts in favor of a small, loud, disruptive minority that is actually abusing the site.
Moderate your ****, and stop enabling the targeting of marginalized people just because a fascist just won an election a few days ago. -

A question that is now burning in my head is this!!
Are the bullet points really because of LGBTQ being a "political language" according to you on twitch or is it merely an excuse to label them and hang them out for racist people to know who to hate attack for the sake of "freedom of speech"?

Very telling that their clarification mentioned the comfort of their advertisers. We should be allowed to speak on the issues we face!

The "clarification" was an insult, not an answer.

No matter how you spin the phrasing, it remains a blatant act of censorship, dismissing what ought to be universally recognized as fundamental human rights for all. The labels are superfluous, dehumanizing, and should be removed.

This policy reeks of "The advertisers are scared of the wokes"
My friends' lives are not political talking points, their existence isn't up for debate. Remove this backwards policy.

Afaik, discrimination is already an enforced measure. Even playing devil's advocate on the vagueness being misinterpreted when intended to protect: This Is Unnecessary. Bigotry is discrimination, and again, already enforced. So this *is* specifically a targeted measure to placate those very offenders that "Now you won't have to see the thing you discriminate against, yippee less discrimination violations!", and is inherently affirmation for that very offense; discrimination and bigotry on an official scale. Our existence is not a political discussion or sensitive issue in any way; only those that wish cruel fates upon us FOR that existence are.

I cannot begin to imagine why politics is sensitive, why someone's existence which includes women, transgender folks, immigrants, bipoc.
It is pathetic that twitch is doing this. You can be the voice of the few but no, you are trying to cater to a majority is already has, Youtube, Instagram, TikTok.
This is not going to be good for the culture because there are so many people in that spectrum who would definitely leave - Because I am person who watches several one of them and I WILL GO ANYWHERE THEY GO.
I AM LOYAL TO MY STREAMER; THEY GIVE ME A SENSE OF COMMUNITY.
This is something no other platform does but someone will, this was once Justin TV. Someone made this in 2000s don't you think this will happen again.
Look at the what happened to Twitter, people are moving away, ad revenue is down. AT LEAST THINK LIKE A CAPITALIST. CAPITALISE!
This is good for your bottom line
