Sensitive social issues Bullet points need to be removed, not 'clarified'
it doesn't matter how much you 'clarify' the point of the final two bullets, they are not fit for the political category especially when contrasted with the other things in the category. Putting peoples rights in there opens up marginalized groups to hate and bigotry. We want the points REMOVED and twitch's response is completely missing the point the community has been making.
At what point does something go from 'personal experience' to 'too political'? if a streamer talks about their own right to an abortion being taken away where they live, is that personal experience or political? it is entirely subjective. Is a trans person talking about their experiences with HRT 'fact based'? Who determines this? The bigots who will undoubtedly mass report said streamers to shut them up?
"intermittent mentions of (...) sensitive social issues are not required to have the politics and sensitive social issues label" how long is intermittent? most streamers i watch like to have small conversations with chat about social issues, how long can these chats go on for?
I don't understand why you refuse to just take out the 'Sensitive social issues' point. It's what the user base is asking you to do and it is the right thing to do.

Only acceptable solution is to remove the LGBTQ+ part from the political guidelines entirely

The rules seem to clarify too little while hand waving away the concerns of LGBT+ individuals who have, and continue to actively experience, difficulties and harassment for merely existing in their everyday lives.
Our existence is NOT up for political debate

The current revision does little to change how subject to the arbitration of bad actors the rule really is. This clause should be removed, not simply altered.

my existence should not be labeled as a "sensitive topic" putting this label on people's rights not only reminds me of when it was illegal for my community to marry and live who they are AS WELL this label can invite people with bigotry views to use the label as a cover for hate speech

I'd like to see that bullet point removed as well. This is discriminatory and it's disgusting. It shouldn't be considered 'political' to exist.

It’s 2024, listing this as a “sensitive topic” is giving my flashbacks to when it was illegal for me marry my wife. We are not second class citizens.

Our existence shouldn't be treated as "political" or "sensitive".

Once again, Twitch has decided the PR route instead of the obvious and sensible route of "clarifications". Honestly, there are many things that point to the notion that twitch isn't doing too hot in the revenue department, but even this is desperate at this point.

LGBTQ, Black, Jewish, and other marginalized people aren't "sensitive social issues," Twitch, THEY ARE HUMAN BEINGS.

Seriously Twitch? “Clarifying”?? No, it needs to be REMOVED. My existence IS NOT A SOCIAL ISSUE. MY EXISTENCE IS A RIGHT, as it is for EVERY OTHER PERSON on the platform. Stop dancing around the problem!

LGBT is not a "sensitive" topic for any rational and reasonable individual.

Even as a person which is not directly in LGBT community, I support the idea of these bulletpoints TO BE REMOVED COMPLETELY. It's abusing really big group of streamers. While there is no gain or damage done, these have been forced in. No need for such bulletpoints to exist...

You are still enabling bad actors by requiring the marginalized to segregate themselves. Remove this “feature”.

Remove the points, they only further add to the oppression and discrimination towards these marginalized groups by making decisions like this, we are not sensitive politics.

This needs to be removed, point blank period or at the very least amended properly to protect we LGBTQIA+ streamers. Even your biggest streamer on the platform is unapologetically a LGBTQIA+ ally and streamer. So you're honestly hurting yourself as a business making such a move and can you afford to lose even more money? And that's before we even talk about how insensitive it is to trivialize people wanting the right to be who they are. To feel safe being themselves and aren't hurting anyone at all? This is a very dangerous mistake and I implore all at Twitch and Amazon to rescind this. This will destroy any headway your company has made with supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. I like being on Twitch and I don't wish to have to consider finding another place for my community.

The ‘clarification’ here shows a clear dismissive attitude toward marginalised groups that just want to be treated equal. As said time and time again, our lives are not a playground for political discourse and debate. Our lives are exactly that: OUR LIVES, and we should not be treated as essentially misfits for staying true to ourselves.

Once again it is incredibly disappointing to see this on Twitch; I have cancelled my Twitch subscriptions and encourage everyone who sees this to do the same. Ultimately corporations including Twitch only care about their profit -- impacting their bottom line is the only way to force their hand on this horrid decision.
