Twitch does nothing about stalking and harassment, even with evidence
I've reported a partnered streamer numerous times over the course of several years for stalking and harassment, this last time (in March/April) with hard evidence that he joined one of my off-Twitch communities on purpose (after being asked repeatedly over the course of many years to leave me alone).
First off, asking the victim to go directly to their stalkers page to report them is unbelievably careless and cruel, and they need to implement a way to report stalkers without having direct contact with them like that.
Secondly, they don't do anything about it, even if you have evidence. They don't respond. They do nothing. I've had to change my name several dozen times now, leave platforms, and recently get police involvement because Twitch does not seem to care one bit about what happens on their platform. This guy is a partnered streamer as well, and gets off on pushing around others he thinks are weaker than he is, and he knows he can get away with it without consequence because Twitch refuses to take action against him.
They are a huge, massive disappointment. My online life has become a living **** over someone I don't even know, and the tools they have don't help against someone like this, especially when he can still watch me when logged out and when Twitch turns a blind eye to all of my reports!
My suggestions would be to:
1.) Make it so you do not need to go directly to your stalkers/abusers channel page to file a report.
2.) Again, make it so that ALL users must be logged in to view a channel in the first place. This helps mitigate stalkers/harassers who just log out or go incognito to keep watching you.
3.) Respond to reports, even if the decision you made is to say that no action was taken!
