Clarification request re: game soundtracks
The games I stream (Fallout 4/Fallout 76) have in-game radio stations, and these seem to be getting flagged; I imagine Bioshock and Grand Theft Auto would face the same problem. Can we have some clarification on how music that comes in a game is being handled? I don't have external music in any of my streams (unless I'm singing along with the in-game radio).

I'd like to know this as well, because I enjoy games that have music built-in and they are less fun to play without the music, yet I'm afraid of getting my stream muted if I turn on the music.

So this isn't really an idea per se but it's my response to the whole DCMA increases. I also sent this via a ticket as well.
I am writing in response to your recent blog/email about the enormous amounts of DCMA requests you have been dealing with since pretty much the start of the pandemic in the US. More importantly how it affects people who stream Fallout 76. While I have not streamed the game as of yet to my channel, my husband has, and you have muted his vods and sent him DCMA messages about it. The music that is in his vods of Fallout 76, and what you will find when everyone streams and plays Fallout 76, is in fact the radio station in the game. How is it fair for streamers who love playing Fallout 76, and really any Fallout game since they use much of the same music in all of the Fallouts, to get their vods either muted or removed for trying to play the game with the in game radio on? Even GTA V Online has radio stations on it that plays actual real recorded songs and artists in the game, as does Forza Horizon 4. I have checked the EULA for Fallout 76, haven’t checked it for the others yet, and it says nothing in regards to music and streaming. We want to be able to stream the games we love, and be able to listen to the in game music because, honestly it’s dull to only hear the movement and the fighting and occasional talking and not have some type of musical accompaniment in the background, with out the fear of being penalized for something that honestly isn’t our fault. I think you have take those into consideration and notify the game developers and those who are launching the DCMA on streamers for music that was allowed to be put in the games, knowing full well that people stream these games. If anything it will generate more notice for said artists/songs and maybe generate more revenue for them because people are going to maybe want to go and find the songs and possibly buy/download it for their own music libraries.
