Missing editor role On the terms page (https://safety.twitch.tv/s/article/Twitch-Terms?language=en_US).
Since editors are a role with elevated permissions explaining this to potential new creators would be ideal.
2 votesThanks so much for reaching out with this feedback!
We have added Editor: Channel editors are appointed by the channel owner and have access to the channel’s dashboard. They may help manage the channel in a number of ways including editing stream info, running ad breaks, editing video information, uploading videos, starting reruns, downloading past streams, managing clips, and setting clipping permissions.
Please let us know if there are any more terms you would like to see added to the Safety Center.

For legal reasons switch donations to tips On the https://safety.twitch.tv/s/article/Twitch-Terms?language=en_US page. Some streamers are in legal jurisdictions where using the words donations cause them to fall under different tax laws.
The word tip has no such limitations I know of anywhere in the world.
2 votesHey there!
Thank you so much for this feedback!
We have updated the definition to Donations: Monetary gifts to a streamer made through a third-party service, such as PayPal. Some streamers refer to these as “tips.” Please note that gifts made to streamers are not recognized as charitable donations for tax purposes. All fundraising for charities must be through a platform that allows donors to donate directly to the charity and receive a tax deductible receipt.
Hopefully this is better clarification for donations vs tips.

Remove "queer" as a banned word Queer is not a slur. It is how a HUGE number of people identify, ESPECIALLY by those who are non-binary or exist outside of the gender spectrum.
It is used by prominent politicians, organizations, medical offices, artists, creators, and members of your own site.
By banning this term from panels, bios, and elsewhere on channels, you are actively participating in discrimination against the LGBTQIA+ community.
It's LITERALLY what the Q in your "LGBTQIA+" tag stands for.
Remove this word as a "banned word." Stop limiting queer creators from existing on your platform.
94 votesUpdate: UserVoice has removed “queer” from their filter. You should now be able to use the word on this site.
Unfortunately, it seems as though the change was not retroactive, so I’ve corrected this manually by removing the stars in each of your posts. Very sorry for the trouble with all of this – thank you so much for your patience.

Allow us to use the word autistic in our About section. I am an autistic person and this affects how I communicate. I want to ensure people are aware of this when joining my stream, and so I've always had it in my "about" section. It's a diagnosed disability and integral to who I am.
I went to update my about info recently and it kept failing moderation. Turns out it's because I can now no longer use the word autistic in my bio.
This is really ableist erasure. I know some people use "autistic" as an insult but the correct answer isn't to censor people using it legitimately. It's to…
23 votesHey all! Thank you again for bringing this feedback to our attention. Just checking back in to let you know that we have updated our system and you are now able to use autistic in your about section.

Add a timer before requesting a unban If you ban someone, you do it for a reason, seeing the same person you just banned instantly in the unban request tab is tilting and shouldnt be the case.

Mod Comments on User Card Have Mod Comments on the user card so when a viewer is being disrespectful or inappropriate in one stream then watch another stream, the moderators know what type of viewer is watching.
For example. if a viewer come into the stream but has a mod comment saying " User has been inappropriate on many occasions", the moderator can be prepared and take the best course of action.
6 votesHi MrRage, this feature was added to our site in early 2019. You can bring up the viewer card for a user by typing /user [username] in chat, and, if you are a Mod in that channel, there is a "Comments" tab you can use to add comments that will be viewable only by other Mods.

Please allow the ability to disable "Unban requests" Please allow the ability to disable "Unban requests"
or provide a way to replace the link with instructions for how to apply for a unban
We have an existing system on CohhCarnage's channel, and would prefer to use that system over the inbuilt Twitch system, but we cannot turn off the inbuilt Twitch system.
296 votesHey all!
So sorry I missed this thread, but we do now have this live on the site!
You can easily turn off unban requests in your Dashboard under Settings – Moderation.
Thank you so much for this feedback and please let us know any other changes you would like to see to Mod View or other Safety settings.

Prohibited words in title Why is blm now a prohibited word? It's been in my stream title up until recently when it tells me the word is not allowed. This is not the first time I've not been allowed to use regular words or certain acronyms. Please explain.

adding 2fa to chat as optional filter Enable 2FA as a chat optional requirement for users to be required to have 2fa before typing in a users stream chat. This would drastically reduce the number of times a banned user will try to evade a ban to harass a streamer / disrupt chat.
On top of this it would drastically increase awareness on 2fa. Being optional it wouldn't force people or streamers to turn it on or use it. This could also help people who have 18+ Mature content streams reduce the number of people under 18 from engaging. As 2fa already exists within the twitch platform…
1,114 votesHey all,
Thanks so much for your feedback and comments on this topic. Today we’re updating our suite of moderation tools by adding phone-verified chat and expanding the settings for email verification, to help Creators better control their chat experience and improve security. Both Creators and Mods will be able to set the verification requirements for a channel and there are varying levels you will be able to set so it best suits your community. Unlike 2FA, which requires you to enter a code each time you sign in, you’ll only have to verify a phone number and/or email once to be considered verified for chat across Twitch. For more information please refer to our blog post from earlier today: https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2021/09/29/securing-your-chat-with-phone-and-email-verification/
We’ve spent many months building, testing and refining this tool, and while this is far from the last update on our roadmap to improve Creator safety, we’re optimistic about…

Add a "Change Stream/Game Title" Button Nice and simple. Make it easier for mods to update the stream/game title, rather than relying on commands.
2 votesThis was added a few months ago; it’s in a drawer under the player. If you don’t see it, click the […] button in the player widget header.
Also note that only Mods who are also Channel Editors can edit the stream title/game.

Editors manage clips At time of writing an editor of a channel can upload/edit/manage/delete vods and highlights, but cannot edit/manage/delete clips
Please allow editors to manage clips of the channel(s) that they are editor(s) of

Sorry for the delayed, but this has been completed and this functionality is available for all editors!

Controls for the streamer to limit clipping to Subscribers and Followers (by duration) were added to the Dashboard/Channel Settings page in August.

Manage Request Queue I'd like the possibility of being able to manage the Channel Points Request Queue as a widget on the mod view instead of having to open the queue in an external window. Everything else in mod view is extremely convenient now and this is the one thing that is bugging me about it. Thanks greatly for your hard work
11 votesHey Just__Legend and everyone, we added a Mod View widget for the rewards queue a few months back. Let us know if you need any updates to it, and thanks for the request.

Log Channel Actions to the Mod Actions Actions taken from the Channel Actions do not log in the Mod Actions or chat like the slash commands do. These actions should be logged in both places to ensure its tracked what moderators are changing what chat settings.
3 votesI believe we fixed this a few months ago, but please let us know if it’s still not functioning now.

The grammar is wrong on the activity feed in mod view Using mod view as a mod
"such and such followed you"
No they followed the streamer I am moderating
8 votesI think this was fixed several months ago. Thanks for requesting and sorry for not updating sooner.

Let mods send highlighted messages for free The new channel points are pretty fun, and the ability to highlight messages is great. I'm using it frequently when moderating to make sure all the users see certain messages (like instructions on how to vote on something, announcing that the streamer will be right back, reminders about backseating not being allowed, etc).
It would be nice if it didn't cost any points for us mods to use that feature though, because there are situations where we might need to use it but don't have enough points available. Alternatively, add another similar feature available for mods only that isn't dependent…
109 votesHey everyone! So sorry for catching this late.
We have released a new command for mods: /announce
This new command will help mods important messages stand out in chat!
You can learn more from our blog here.
Thank you all for the feedback as always!

Ban Tools Would be great if stream teams and streamers can share banned users with other streamers.
IE Streamer one has a offensive troll in their chat who gets banned. The streamer could have a option after or during the stream to share the ban with other streamers who are friends or in the same stream team.
Example
Streamer 1 bans "user 1" from their chat due to offensive or disturbing behaviour. Streamer 1 can then share that ban with a created "friends streamer list" where by they can say, user 1 was banned in my chat due to the following, please…89 votesHello everyone! Happy to announce that Shared Ban Info is now available for all streamers! Shared Ban Info builds on the Suspicious User Controls system and provides a simple way for you to share info about who you’ve banned in your channel with other streamers to help keep serial offenders out of your communities. You can learn more about this new feature in our Safety Center.
As always thank you so much for your valued feedback and for making Twitch the best place to stream!

Introduce Emote Only/Off toggle button G'day fellow moderators!,
So as of late on a mate's stream, one of the other mod's and myself started setting chat to emote only during cutscenes in the game he is playing, decreasing the chance's of story etc being spoiled for him,
However,
Typing it out all the time is starting to feel like a chore, would it be possible to add a toggle button, via the settings cog button at the bottom of chat under mod tools, the same way there is a slow mode toggle for "off/on"?
I think it'd add another effective tool for mod's to help…
2 votesHey there!
So sorry for the delay on the response to this! But we have added an easily toggle-able setting for emote only and a few other chat settings.
