  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. Twitch needs an algorithm similar to tiktok or YouTube to reccomend creators to viewers based on analytics. To improve visibility and exposure for new content creators. Also we need an appeal process for dmca and other reportable offenses such as offensive and racially insensitive languages. Its not uncommon for other player in game to use such language or have loud music coming in through their microphones. Conduct not originating from the creator should not be grounds for community guidlines violations.

  2. Pretty simple actually. With the new Steam policies about getting more NSFW games and more Illusion Games SFW versions in the same platform, i'm sure that list is pretty outdated and needs more games getting banned. (Koikatsu: Party is SFW if you don't include a specific patch from the official game to be NSFW).
And not more sexually, high gruesome or extreme violence should be there too, Hatred is the best example nowadays and isn't include in the list. Postal 2 isn't neccesary for being more ironic & sartastic rather than polemic because yes.
Games being bad and only popular…

  3. You are experiencing a backlash regarding your nonsensical attire rules because you are so out of touch. Drop them, modern platforms must be the bastions of free expression and not support outrageous suppression of expression.

The only restriction necessary to comply with general law is that no one under the age of 18 is allowed to expose themselves in a ****** manner. You might try to restrict content to underage users but frankly, those users interested in such content will get it and it will not appeal to those not interested. Those interested in such content are merely expressing their…

  4. I occasionally see streamers who promote therapy or claim to have mental health issues, when they really are not qualified to be involving themselves in such matters. Even worse are the situations where it's clear (or it cannot really be verified) that a streamer is claiming to have a problem, just so they can solicit for subs/donations/boost their social media presence.

I think the topic of mental health is just too personal and risky for someone with no background in treating mental illness (or appears to be pan-handling) to be discussing on their channel. I think beyond telling a viewer…

  5. Not sure if Twitch already does this, but many public-facing jobs conduct background checks and verify their candidates are mentally/physically capable to do their job before they are able to work for them (especially if they are working with children/youth). This screening process could help weed out potential issues with repeat criminals/offenders/etc.

  6. Hello Twitch,

Over the past year I have seen a number of people popping up who making claims of been representatives and/or advocates of protected groups (to be more precise people with disabilities), on major platforms such as Youtube, Twitter and Twitch. What disturbs me about this is lack of professionalism some of these people exhibit, I hope you do understand that a lot of people do want to private, discrete and above all be treated with respect when it comes to their disability. It does disturb me when I see certain partnered Twitch streamers use other disabled people's conditions…

  7. People should not be able to create usernames with phone #s or addresses in them. This is commonly used for doxxing streamers and Twitch Safety Ops/Support does not/will not ban them on their usernames alone, even if they created their name(s) to harass a streamer.

  8. Hello,

I propose a way to allow nature streamers affiliate if they have good viewership during the day / night hours when their streams are more active.

As a new creator I have a hard time reaching the required average viewers. My stream is of my fish tank, which I stream 24/7. The problem is that during the day when the lights come on is when I get viewers, at night you can not see much and then I loose viewers. However, both count towards my average viewership.

I have a feeling this affects many nature / animal streams and…

  9. While I recognize that there are already guidelines against harmful/illegal uses of substances on camera, I have come across multiple channels whereas this is exactly what was going on. While I do not make it a job to report each channel I come across that does this, I have recently reported one, solely because there was a **** that was purposely laced on camera. The channel points were titled "joints", the stream time was "wake and bake" and she was clearly getting high on stream (that was not even set to "mature", so any minor could easily jump onto this…

  10. So me and my friend have been wanting to play together on stream but she is an adult and I am a minor so due to you guidelines we have not been able to could this please be changed abit like you have to be over thirteen or something for it to be allowed because if you can watch it what is the difference. There really is not one so you contradict you own rules when you allow minors to watch someone curse but then when you go to play with them they get in trouble it just make no…

  11. The ToS says that you can't endanger yourself or break the law or consume illicit drugs, as marijuana has become legal in many states and legal medically in many more it seems obvious that accounts promoting safe consumption, creation, and general education about marijuana should be allowed and appreciated as opposed to banned as if they were promoting illegal behavior. There is a lot of this content on youtube already and it could exist here on twitch in a live format that would allow people to ask questions and actually get a response in real time.

  13. user / bot attack that other streamers do that they don't like better look for more staff in the streamer's surveillance area ...
Hi, I'm a small streamer who received a 7-day twitch penalty and now I can't upload emotes without the staff seeing it and it turns out that they tell me it was for making a black joke or being homophobic or something if I'm gay and never I would laugh at another person with my same sexuality or at straight people but it turns out that they couldn't send me any clip of what was the thing…

  16. Going point for point from your metal health guide, I know of instances where some streamers have been completely disconnected of any communication. Considering your own words here, can twitch do more when it comes to appeals? (https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/twitch-cares-mental-health-support-information?language=en_US)

  18. Some games like Phasmophobia require gamers to swear and call the ghost names in order to cause it to appear. Would this affect the streamer in a negative aspect? Especially if the stream is Mature 18+ only.

  19. The new policy seems very unclear as to if certain symbols will be allowed on stream when present in video games or represented in the proper historical context in lectures, presentations, and display. As a student of history, I quite enjoy games that are set in historical time periods and go to great lengths to keep the setting accurate. However, games about the American Civil War, WWII, etc. will contain symbols such as the Confederate Battle Flag and the Nazi swastika. I also enjoy being able to use props when I deliver a monthly historical lecture/presentation about various topics, including…

  20. Caught a multiple day ban from one of your bots or mods that hasn't read a dictionary. Niggardly is not offensive, Niggle is not offensive. The list is not very long because you can carry small dictionaries on your phone, with a thesaurus and MULTIPLE dictionary and thesaurus apps. Go poach the DND and Warhammer streams and ban every single streamer and any people using dialogue containing "niggle". But you won't, because the community will be more than one person you decided to squelch. I have zero intent to purchase bulk subs for fans for however long this ban goes…
