1. Content Types

   A lot of steamers are using the wrong categories, especially Video Game ones, either on purpose or because they're unaware of the choices they have. When configuring the Stream Info, before selecting a category, add a drop down for "Type of Content". There are three main types on the platform: Video Games, IRL (including IRL games) and Unattended* (check below for explanation). Choosing the category should only be allowed after choosing the type of content, and should be limited to only what pertains to that type (e.g. streamers who do IRL / Unattended content should not be able to pick Video Game categories). This will help both existing and new (especially) streamers choose the proper category for their content and improve discoverability. In addition, selecting a category should become mandatory as there are a multitude of channels streaming under no category and can only be discovered by browsing all channels. Further on, when selecting an IRL / Unattended category, if the streamer types in a keyword that is not part of the category's name, they should be suggested* which category to use for their content.

2. Recommend Me Channels to Raid Based on my Viewers Interests

   Twitch does a great job of algorithmically recommending channels you may want to discover as a viewer- but it would be great to use those same principles to recommend channels I may want to discover as a creator.

   As a creator, the content I tend to watch on Twitch is very different than the type of content I create on Twitch. So the creators that Twitch recommends to me tend to be creators I might want to watch- but not creators that I necessarily want to collaborate or network with.

   It would be awesome if Twitch took note of the other channels that my audience watches and used that information to generate a "recommended channels to raid" list that doesn't include people I already follow.

   Not only would it help increase the likelihood that a viewer will stay on Twitch after a raid, it would also help me discover other creators who are making similar content and share my audience- which helps with networking and collaborations.

3. Disconnect Protection

   Custom text for disconnect protection... Some people don't like somebody's else face at the Disconnect Protection phase. Please can we at least do custom text with at least "Reconnecting... Please wait" so everyone can edit at least. Just black background with white letters... at least.

6. Quick Action "Disable Clips of the past five minutes"

   I accidentally leaked customer information on stream, gladly no one noticed immediately, but to protect sensitive data, there should be a Quick Action that stops all ways to retrieve replays (disable clips for the current session, unpublish VOD) immediately.

8. Allow More Stream Tags

   10 tags is just not nearly enough, especially since it's completely free-form and you may want to have multiple variations of similar tags to increase discoverability. I think I'd be happy with like 25, but other platforms allow way more (YouTube has a character limit instead of a tag limit, but you can get like 50-100 on there).

11. "Sound" with chat messages

    I have a hard time seeing my chatters when they pop in to the chat room. Sometimes, I miss them altogether. Of course I want to make people feel welcome, and heard, but my peripheral vision is lacking. Could there be a way to have a tiny sound go off when someone enters their first message? I tiny ring, a blip, etc.?

12. Change able Catagory connected tag profiles on the Dashboard

    It would be useful (and user friendly) to have a way for those who typically stream in multiple diverse categories to create tag profiles, so that when they switch categories it automatically updates (removes / adds) tags they've preselected for that category.

    IE I stream games & Just Chatting / Crafters & Makers. For the Just Chatting / Crafters & Makers streams I typically use crafting, resin and a couple other related tags. But when I'm streaming games I don't. 90% of the time I remember to pull the craft related tags for gaming streams or add them for the crafting streams but it would be nice to not have to remember. Instead to be able to preselect it and safe it as a "Tag Profile" (or whatever) so it auto changes and updates for me in case I'm having a forgetful day. That way I'm not telling people I have drops enabled when I'm casting resin key chains...

14. Game categories stats.

    I wish there will be an option for the streamer to check the stats of the game/categories that he has streamed, not like comparing against other people's content but rather his own stats of time streamed, viewers, followers, subs, and amount of comments according to the time he streamed that mentioned game/category. This is important because while there's a feature that analyzes the categories and possible visibility of the streamer in Category Suggestions, there's none that gives the person actual numbers to check his own stream stats. This will help the content creator to see which one of the games is more successful in generating chat reaction, which one got more followers, which one got more subs, and which one is the most viewed per average time. Giving effective feedback on what people are interested in his channel or what things they react to.

    I know there's a page called TwitchTracker that does that kind of thing but as far as I know, is not affiliated with Twitch in any sort of way and also has a tendency of ignoring some streams done which causes the stats to be misleading. For example, I streamed the other day Super Mario 64 for around 6 hours and the accumulated time that I have for that game remains 175 hrs. without adding those 6 hrs. and this is not the first time this situation happened. Also, I wish that feature can change by adding or subtracting time in those categories because for some reason I have another category called Super Mario 64 that's different from the main one, which I somehow streamed without even knowing, and now I wish those hours can be added to the main category so the stats can be more faithful. Sadly, TwitchTracker doesn't have that option and I have a similar situation with other games like Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country which makes my data analysis much more difficult or just not possible. Possibly the most egregious case is DKC which somehow is divided in two categories with the same name for no reason, one with 128 hrs. and the other one with almost 64 hrs. and it just makes me sad not being able to put all those hrs. of content together in one category as it should be. And now that I'm talking about it...

    I have a second suggestion that might not be related to the category of Creator Dashboard but it connects with the issues of stats in TwicthTracker and it should be helpful to the feature that I'm asking (if it ever sees the light of day).

    I've been finding some erroneous category descriptions in some games that can be changed pretty easily and in other cases games that don't belong to what the category is all about. I'm gonna list some examples.

    Donkey Kong Country: The description says "An expanded port of the original Donkey Kong Country for the SNES. Includes extra collectables, remixed/remastered music and sound design, and additional game modes and minigames". As far as I know nobody plays this expanded port, and most of the time people streaming on this category just play the original SNES game or they speedrun it. There's no need for this category to be different from the original or share the same name and also... the original still exists! Every time I try to stream this game the image of the original category shows up (the image It's a different one of the expanded port) but every time it redirects me to the expanded port one! I assume is because they share the same name Twitch thinks they are in the same category but they aren't and this is proven by TwichTracker dividing my total DKC stream time in 2. The last time I streamed in the original category was in January of 2022 and since then this enhanced port category showed up to ruin the data and confuse people with his description, I hope the original category can return and erase or change the name of the other one for good.

    Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back: This is a case of redirection again, there are 2 versions of this game the original of 1997 and the remake done in 2017. People that want to play the 97' version will probably use this category that sadly only refers to the remake, the description says it all "A remake of Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back found in the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy collection". I don't think this issue occurs with the prequel and sequel, nor if they also have extra categories referring to the remakes of 20 years later, and I'm sure there's no category for Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. This problem will also affect Resident Evil games (except for 3 because they have different category names) since they have been getting remakes that can overlap the original or vice versa in the search engine.

    Super Punch-Out!!: This is an interesting case because there are 2 games that share this name, one was the arcade game released in 1984 and the other one was an SNES game released ten years later. The category refers to the former case just by looking at the description "This is a boxing game where you attempt to defeat five different champions, Bear Hugger, Dragon Chan, Vodka Drunkenski, Great Tiger and Super Macho Man. If you defeat all five, you become the champion and defend your title against the same five characters". The issue is again people use this category to play/speedrun the SNES game instead of the arcade one which can be confusing for viewers, people trying to discover some new streamers of that specific game and it also messes up the data. I'll suggest making two separate categories for each game so people have a chance to know exactly what they are looking for or streaming.

    There's has to be more examples out there but for the sake of not making this message longer than it already is, I'm just gonna leave it in there. My wish is that Twitch gets closer to Speedrun.com in terms of search engine and that every game or remake has its own place different from each others. This will help newcomers to the platform find the right place and version of the game they love without too many detours.

    I know this probably will not be a top priority for the site to solve since people have been complaining for quite a while about other solutions for ads, bots, DMCA, and stuff. But hopefully in the future, they decide to add Category stats to help the streamers and solve some of the category descriptions to help people that want to discover a new community.

17. Add new rules/restrictions against misleading Live Notifications

    Restrict/add new rules against what creators can enter into their live notification to prevent live notifications that try to essentially lie to the viewer.

    Examples I've seen recently:

    Creator/Someone has mentioned you in chat! Click to view!
    Creator/Someone has given you a tier one sub!

20. Ad Manager Pop-out Setting Missing

    On the Stream Manager page each section had a pop-out option. Seemingly in a recent update this option on the Ad Manager specifically has been removed. This makes adding the window as a Custom Dock in OBS difficult as it was the only way to get a browser source for it. Please consider adding the option back or giving creators a Browser Source Link in their Dashboards
