Add new field for awards and nominations I’d like to propose the addition of a new field to store information about a game's nominations and awards. The structure would be as follows:
[Event name, number of nominations, list of nominated categories, number of awards won, list of awarded categories]

Being able to filter games by length I don't have a lot of time, and I like to choose game that can be finished rather quickly (5 to 10h). Or less than 24h depending on the game.
Usually after 15h I start to get bored and I just want to finish the game, so I rush and it feels like a job, not an entertainment anymore.
Also, it helps discover nice smaller game that change from big, blockbusters, open world, 100h+, multiplayer, time consuming games.

gore and violence assume users should opt in to viewing gore and violence.
as of 2025, a new visiter must be subjected to violent content on the front page before having the option to log in or select categories or input search terms.
why not assume the user must not see this until at least able to show initiative (not behave like a literal child) log in (require credentials) or at least have some option of leaving before interacting. consider the way nipples or crude language is treated as adult content, we can cater to much wider audiences.

Multiple Parent Versions for Games One of my favourite features of IGDB is that it is a helpful resource for finding all versions of a video game, whether it be remakes, remasters, ports, or mods that can improve on a vanilla game. However, I noticed that (just as one example) that every DLC for Capcom Arcade Stadium are just a DLC for that game in particular, when it could also easily be a port of those games as well. "Played" and "Want to Play" lists cannot be set as Private Currently custom lists can be set as "Private" when creating the list or via "Edit" page available in list view. But built-in "Played" and "Want to Play" lists don't have this option there and they are always publicly visible (checked by opening list url in incognito mode).
Also there is "Public game lists" checkbox in profile settings (unchecked by default) but it does not affect those lists (tried check and uncheck several times - nothing happens to those lists)

Add Roku as a platform for games Roku has ~450 games on it developed specifically for it (proprietary language), and should be included as a platform. The games land somewhere between early iOS and flash games, while also having some ports of arcade and DOS classics (Prince of Persia, Galaga, Pacman, Tetris, etc). There are still games actively being released, some of which are exclusive to this platform.

Game status on page collection and franchise. Hello! Suggestion to display the status of games (want, playing, played) on the collection and franchise pages. So as not to fall into the game to view the status. Sometimes time passes and you no longer remember which game from the collection you stopped at.

Add negative filtering (exclusion) by categories in IGDB advanced search. Introduction: The Problem

Big Time Category Removal: (hate on crypto/nft!?) (Just committing suicide with time here as nothing I say will ever matter, as logic has no value & intelligent lives do not matter but here we go):
Crpyto & NFT = AO rating = no category on twitch: (Makes no sense)
Twitch allows a streamer to label their streams 18+ so there is no logical reason to remove a game like Big Time, (AO rated while having no nudity or blood) as a streaming category from twitch!
I see this as age discrimination: adults do not have any rights to be adults on twitch.

Streams Filtering to Incorrect Super Smash Bros. Brawl Category I've noticed that Super Smash Bros. Brawl streams are all filtered to the incorrect category. While the correct category is selectable, all streams end up under an identically named category that actually represents a delisted Flash game. I would suggest either removing this category from Twitch entirely since it bears no relevance, or making it the non-default option for these streams.

Banished (2014) shows as Banished (2023) in recently streamed category. I recently streamed Banished, a city building game, but on my recently streamed categories and past broadcasts it shows and links to a different game of the same name. I went back to see what I had set it as in my stream info and it was the correct Banished, so even though I selected the right game, its showing as the wrong one after finishing my stream. Checked other streamers who played banished (2014) and its the same problem.

Dynamic info when clicking on a Developer/Publisher from a Game page When clicking on the link to a Developer or Publisher from a Game page they are connected to, it would be good if the page displayed the corresponding list of games they developed/published (in the section currently under the timeline).
Right now, if you were to click on a Publisher from a Game page, it would by default show all games they have developed in that list, needing an extra click to show their list of published games.

Some additions/improvements Hello! I'm new to this site. I've only been using it for a very short time, but I already consider it the best in its category. That said, a few key additions would make creating my lists much easier.
The first and most obvious would be the addition of a pagination system. Second, and I believe this is the most important, an option in the "advanced search" to filter by main game, DLCs, mods, etc. would be extremely helpful.
Lastly, a simple dark mode setting would greatly improve the site's visual experience.

Add Leapfrog Didj platform There are already a few Leapfrog platforms but this one is not present even if many games are in the database but they're mostly not easy to access as the release can't be added without a platform

Game has poorly chosen description Your page for the game I Cannot Drown simply has it described as "a Yume Nikki fangame with 11 effects". I'm aware that blurb is on the game's itch.io page, but the creator already has a better description for the game right above it: "Your name is Ume. You are in a world. It is a familiar yet unknown world. Stretch your legs and go for a walk."
It is a bit vague in terms of game descriptions but it's far better than just being called a fangame. If that isn't good enough, I'll gladly come up with one that…

Bug report: Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master. Accessed from Amazon Games platform, using a PC. Exccutioner intro. Had built the prison with a few cells. Hired an executioner. Got message that Elf cells were unlocked. Had clicked on a downed enemy to see race. Your tutorial for the executioner snaped in. There was a green arrow pointing at nothing. Could not exit the prisoner to follow the on screen prompt to select a prisoner.

Wrong company for Windows XP version The website shows that the company that developed Windows XP was Microsoft, but the API says it was the company "128". Interestingly, 128 is Microsoft's id in the API. I believe there is a bug in the return of information.

Missing status Field in ReleaseDate Data I am using the IGDB API to retrieve game information and have encountered an issue with the ReleaseDate table. According to the documentation, it should include a status (or statusId) field related to ReleaseDateStatus. However, when making a request for all fields in ReleaseDate, this field is missing from the API response.
