Badges/Emotes

How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. It's not fair that its only a seasonal emote when KappaClaus is still available in April.

    I have needs.

Needs that can only be fulfilled by KappaEgg. Thank you.

  2. In terms of controlling our brand, managing what imagery users present in my chat would be useful. Examples of this include things that resemble Pepe the Frog, and the meaning it's taken on in social media.

  4. with 28x28 emotes you have to struggle to make something that looks good, a lot of good emote ideas have to be scraped because they don't look good at this size. I don't see how this could be a problem, 40x40 wouldn't ocupe much more size and emotes would look way better.

  5. When you click on someone's name in chat or visit their profile, there should be a section for showing all of the different sub badges that person has. Then, each one should be clickable and link to the streamer's channel.

  6. Chudat is a key feature of the SSBM community and whenever he is on Twitch, the chat lights up with thousands of "Yeahyuzzzz" and "=D7" and there is an amazing opprtunity for this to become one of Twitch's most iconic emotes and see the Smash community more represented on Twitch

  7. Calling it something like "twitchNN", the net neutrality spinner could be used in general conversation to suggest that it's going to take time for your thought to finish, and to remind people that net neutrality is an important issue that needs to be defended.

    Examples:
    Waiting on my pizza. twitchNN
    Considering your statement. twitchNN
It might take me a while. twitchNN

  8. Have you ever had that one emote that you Really, Really liked and then the streamer takes it away to put a new one in. well this feature could be a small tab/menu where a Streamers retired emote stay and you could take an emote you want for an emote you don't want. For example Dansgaming has been rotating emotes during X-mas and Halloween and you wanted those emotes back Boom the menu would let you do that rotating other emotes for the ones you like.

  9. http://i.imgur.com/rNqnOcr.png <- That'un. I found it while pausing the Mr. Rogers stream. This glorious double take emote was bestowed upon me by accident. I joined, and this is what my stream buffer was paused on.

This is the new twitch global emote. Chef Brockett perfectly encapsulates the spirit of dumbfounded disbelief.

  10. For partners & affiliates working with artists. It's often very difficult to tell if something will scale down well, look good in both default and dark mode, etc. I did find one tool to test emotes ( https://pajlada.se/projects/test-emote/ ), but it's extremely limited, doesn't offer dark mode, etc.

A preview platform in the upload window would be incredible.

  11. Can we have an option to choose between the custom streamer Bit badges and the original Bit badges please? For the people who like the look of the original Bits badges they can use those and the people who want to use the Streamer Bits badges can use those too.

  12. With all the new badges coming, and with the addition of the recent Affiliate badge, I suggest a special badge for the dedicated moderators of the community.

For example, if a user moderates a stream/stream in which the follower count reaches a certain number then the moderator would be given a special badge to signify that they're experienced mods, or if a person reaches a certain amount of commands made/timeouts made they're given the badge. Something like that.

I spend a lot of time moderating over 15 streams with 5,000+ followers each, and I'd love to have a cool badge…

  13. Have Twitch Partners be able to officially partner with each other and create a set of emotes that viewers can only access if they sub to both channels. Each Partner still has their normal emote set of course, but if you sub to both channel A and channel B you also get a few "AB" exclusive emotes. Unsubbing from either loses you access to the dual sub emotes.

Many pairs of Partners already have emotes of their own that combo well with each other, purposely. For example, two Partners have "wave" emotes that face each other to look like a…

  15. It would be awesome if Twitch allowed artists who design emotes for partnered streamers use them for free!

A suggestion is for Twitch to create the option for partnered streamers to specify which artist(s) created their emotes when they upload them which would then allow the artist to use those emotes on Twitch.

Benefits to this is that it would provide more exposure to both the streamer and the artist. The artist would get more promotion through sharing their created emotes on Twitch. Fans of the artist who enjoy their art style would be able to see which emotes the…

  16. With prior subs being represented, viewers and broadcasters could see who of their current viewer count is a prior sub. This will help represent many things. Short from long term subs that let their sub lapse creates discussion, it also lets people know that this viewer might be a little more well versed in the channel content than someone brand new.... etc.

  17. Users will be able to purchase emotes in an "Emote Shop". Streamers can choose how much to charge for each of their emotes. The user can purchase emotes from various streamers and will be charged monthly for a one lump sum per month, 3 months, 6 months, or unlimited time price. This will encourage revenue for streamers from people that don't want to pay the full subscription price. This will also make people want to collect emotes from different streamers. Perhaps a trophy system of some sort could be included with this system to encourage people to buy more emotes…

  18. Why not use the golden kappa to have advertisers promote there products?

So this is how the idea works. You have a limited number of golden kappas appear on a random/specific stream. And the first one to click on the golden kappa wins a prize from a specific advertiser.

  19. The current badges (recently introduced) for the 200K, 300K, 400K ... 900K and 1M milestones are pretty dull.

    Here they are: https://i.gyazo.com/a0b1bcbc58a7de87d0ea5ecc5772e5b4.png

I think they could be a bit more snazzy for the amount of money needed to be spent to receive them.

I certainly think introducing an animated bit badge for the 1,000,000 bits milestone would be awesome for the people who are dedicated enough to go for it!

    Cheers!
