Fix profile banner scaling
The new profile banner image scaling, apparently introduced this week, attempts to cram the entire image into the space for it on the page. This may work for some images, but for most others (even those sized using Twitch guidelines) it just looks weird. Please either go back to the older image scaling, which attempts to fit images by height only, or make the new scheme an option.

This is still a problem, and it still looks just as horrible as it did last year.

Exactly. I've just done my profile banner, and it's a hot mess. The only good thing at the moment is that the banner doesn't get murdered by JPEG compression.
Take a look at this: https://i.imgur.com/AQOsLuu.png
I uploaded a 3000x1200 90 kB PNG image. It was downscaled to 1200x480, then upscaled to whatever this is. It overhangs the corner, and neither tiles nor covers the background of the page like anyone would expect it to.
Does absolutely noone at Twitch do any validation on anything other than 1920x1080? Please fix.

I'm not sure why, but the lower right hand corner shows that the image is not lined up properly and the image is getting cut off. It looks horribly unprofessional having that little bit of overhang there.
Additionally, the scaling is terrible at the recommended size. It just blows the image up to the point where it's a muddled mess, even when done in high res formats.

Please do fix this, I had to remove mine because it looks bad when stretched.
