Streamer Swatting Protection List (Opt-In Only)
If a streamer opts in, they could share their location to help prevent most swatting incidents. IRL streamers might need to handle this carefully and allow 911 operators to run a secondary search. This could enable authorities to pursue false calls by identifying the address of a known streamer, treating it as a crime, and investigating actively. However, privacy concerns about misuse remain, especially with the frequent use of this information by police for stalking, so it should be isolated in some way from any other use ideally unless in the case of a swatting call or an active legal investigation with an active case number to be logged with.
