Do not impliment the AI auto clip tool
Twitch has implemented a sign up for an AI alpha auto clip tool. This is very unethical in many ways to not just content creation but also to things outside content creation.
I ask twitch to remove this sign up and not engage in any use of AI when it comes to content creation.
Facts about AI usage
- Google’s single Iowa data center alone consumed 1 billion gallons of water in 2024. The first way AI uses water is for cooling. Data centers run thousands of powerful computers around the clock. As these machines crunch numbers and manage data, they generate a lot of heat.
To keep everything running smoothly, water is often used in cooling systems. This can mean circulating water through pipes to absorb heat or using evaporative cooling towers that release warm air.
Ai is trained to use already created content for training with out user consent. This has already been happening on social media. Twitch's AI clip tool ''claims'' they will not use user generated clips with out consent for training to assume what constitutes as high engagement moments for clip creation.
- AI data centers now generate 2.5–3.7% of global greenhouse gas emissions, officially surpassing the aviation industry’s 2% contribution while growing 15% annually.
It is very important that people speak up and say no to the AI clip tool especially partners and ambassadors as this tool is very harmful to the community.
Turning it off as an option is not enough.

This is not a good look for the brand. Staying away from AI is good for public perception, regardless of perceived shortcomings term positives.

As someone considering twitch turbo this is a turn off to supporting the platform. If this is implemented I won’t be buying.

No thank you, there is better ways to get clips like by heart rate through pulsoid for exciting moments or simply to have a streamdeck and to run a command.
Having everyone's voice being scrapped just for isn't right whatsoever. It's gonna contribute to the enshification of the internet and the uniqueness that a voice is and can be to someone. -

The lack of transparency that usually comes with new tools on this platform is highly concerning. This tool creates too many concerns. If twitch can't be transparent on how it works and how safe it is to use, it needs to be removed. I think thats the biggest concern.

I also have a blusky post if you want to repost this user voice to boost the amount of eyes it gets.

I do not support this whatsoever. Twitch, if you incorporate this tool onto your platform, you are actively endorsing the downfall of the internet and creativity as a whole, which your platform should be actively trying to save, since Twitch is successful due to creativity in humans. Not emotionless robots. I also will never be comfortable in contributing in teaching AI which actively harms our planet that all of us live on with no where else to go. Once Earth is too far gone, so are we. I do not want to be associated with AI in any way shape or form. DO NOT DO THIS.

People need to stop being lazy. Supporting AI of any kind will just speed up the destruction of the internet. People only support it because they're lazy

I am not interested in this tool whatsoever. I do not want myself or my content even remotely associated with this tool or AI in ANY capacity.
Hard pass, guys. Seriously. Please rethink this.

Twitch, It's HUMANS, who make your platform what it is. All the millions of people who create content on YOUR platform. Implementing an "AI" tool is not only a slap in the face, but also another betrayal of the people who work ******* this platform. We don't Like AI and its parasitic tendencies, so please don't join the long list of companies trying to shill an "intuitive AI tool" at us again.

The world is not anodyne, squeaky clean and imperfect. Attempting to remove human "error" from things by using technology that isn't capable of the task is not just impossible, it's ignorant. Even if you look beyond the arguments regarding the ethics and environmental costs, you're still left with the very epitome of an imperfect tool. GenAI provides nothing other than an excuse to avoid responsibility and effort for pathetically inaccurate results. Stop attempting to foist bad business decisions off on people and go back to actual business management principles before there's nothing left to manage.

Generative AI is a plague. It does nothing well, so naturally it's being implemented everywhere. We don't need it on our streams.

I do not need AI monitoring my streams, I can handle clipping myself. Implementing this makes me consider leaving Twitch for other streaming platforms.

I don't want AI slop monitoring my streams. I already have clip commands and really enjoy seeing what my human community clips when they see something fun on stream.

No we don't want AI watching and scraping our streams. Not for me, not for my friends, not for my viewers. This is a terrible idea and a great way to fast track the end of Twitch.

As if Twitch wasn't data-hungry enough as-is, feeding everyone's content into an AI dataset for something that they can do themselves with a single click (or heaven forbid, any chatter actually clips something when asked, lol) is a baffling misuse of resources. I'm fairly confident this would only cost yourselves a staggering amount to implement and maintain for virtually no benefit. Plus, AI stinks! As always!! Cut this **** out!!!

Between this push for AI slop and the mishandling of security at Twitchcon, I feel its time to bring someone new in to right Twitch's course, because this is not cutting it.
