Allow Affiliates to change their Emote Prefix
I just reached Affiliate today and I couldn't be happier... until I learned that my emote prefix was something automatically assigned and unable to be changed easily unless I was Partner. Look, I'm doing this as a hobby and as a means to express my own creativity. Partner is for careered streamers who know how to pull in numbers. I don't know if I'll ever get there, but I and many others definitely worked our ***** off to get Affiliate. Customizing our emotes is a way to express ourselves and possibly gain some notoriety. But not letting us be in control of what we name our emotes IN FULL is bonkers.
I am Nin10erd. Shorthand, I can go by "Nin10." So what does Twitch assign me for an emote prefix? That's right, "nin10e." That superfluous "e" is really bothering me. I've read other cases where people had random numbers added. I'm guessing this is to avoid duplicate prefixes. Why can't there be a checker to tell us "this prefix is taken?" Why can't it work like changing a username where you can make changes every 60 days? Like, all this work to be able to have my own official channel emotes and I don't have full control of them? What sense does that make?
