Allow Everyone to Complete the Streamer Survey
At this time, only Twitch Affiliates and Partners can complete the Twitch Streamer Community Survey for demographic information. Because of this, many disabled creators and other low-income creators (who are not allowed to make funds from Twitch due to financial requirements for government support) are not able to become a part of guilds and they are unable to get onto any of the "Together For" recommendation shelves, both of which require the survey.
There are two solutions that come to mind:
1. Allow anyone to complete the survey. This is the easiest but does mean Twitch will receive a flood of demographic surveys from folks who may not create. This is the least viable of the two options.
2. Allow individuals to become a Twitch affiliate and turn off all revenue. This is the best option, as it means that the number of folks completing the survey remains stable and has less risk for spam, but disabled folks and low-income folks discussed above can gain the title of Affiliate without losing their government benefits.
I hope Twitch considers this! It would mean more disabled creators can complete the survey, and it would mean more disabled creators can get access to discovery events and the Twitch Unity Guilds!

Yes I can’t even fly or get a passport due to my mother who refuses to support me. She has all my information but is an alcoholic. She’s had ****** cancer all her life, stage 3 and still made it out of chemo. I myself have healing hands as a combat medic from the viatnamese war but can’t fly anywhere until I head to the Secretary of State. The problem is that I’m solely only a biker. But I require a drivers license and I can’t drive. But can operate bikes fine. I’m also a great swimmer so as long as I have a jetski I can go anywhere I please. I am TheGaySaiyan on Twitch and I have over 80 followers that hear my voice all the time. I was banned for many reasons like going on hiatus meanwhile getting banned by people being stupid and crazy I’ve been through it all! Driving is something I cannot do. But I definitely can ride bikes fine. But the government will not allow me to go anywhere without my drivers license so I’m still working on getting my drivers license while working at subway. It’s just taking time because I have a fear of motor vehicles and driving so I’m about to start studying my Michigan road test so I can get moving again. Thank your time. I’m very afraid of what’s to come when I get into a motor vehicle but I know that’s just all about the process! I’m a gemini an air sign so when I hear gas I just get stressed out and afraid! But I know if I can smoke as much as I want to I can’t get out there finally!! I have bipolar disorder, and depression and anxiety and have been working with Easter seals here in Michigan to get some type of service dog or animals or help me around with my panic attacks! But they don’t have anything like that so I’ll be moving on to Japan eventually once I catch my flight to tokyo. So I’ll still definitely be around l! Thank you!

This is a great idea given a lot of folks have had to unaffiliate themselves in order to get government support within the UK, especially.

Trully I can luckily earn a bit with out consequents, but I wanted the affiliated for the emotes and stuff. Opting out of payments in some way is an amazing idea.
Maybe they could do it in a way where we can block the use of bits and direct any subs to a chosen charity (then I do think they need work with more international charities but) -

I wholeheartedly agree with this as someone who can't become a Twitch affiliate for a multitude of reasons {1 of the biggest reasons being this exact issue as a disabled person that relies on government benefits to survive}!
This would honestly provide more disabled people a safe way to to not only share their voice in the Twitch survey but also to get included in the communities they're apart of without risking their livelihoods due to the way outdated government benefit systems function & treat disability! <3

I think this is an amazing idea. With the recent moment building around including more disabled creator voices, I think this is a natural next step!
